El objetivo de este artículo es investigar qué papel ejerce la ficción en las columnas, concretamente la práctica que, en el campo de los estudios literarios, se conoce como autoficción y que consiste en crear una personalidad ficticia con los mismos nombres y apellidos del autor. Por otro lado, analizaré el intercambio que se suele producir entre columnas y cuentos. Este estudio se basará en las columnas que la escritora Empar Moliner publica en el diario Avui. Ello permitirá comprobar el carácter experimental de este género y el valor persuasivo de la ficción cuando se usa con una finalidad argumentativa

Energy Efficiency of Hybrid-Power HetNets: A Population-like Games Approach

In this paper, a distributed control scheme based on population games is proposed. The controller is in charge of dealing with the energy consumption problem in a Heterogeneous Cellular Network (HetNet) powered by hybrid energy sources (grid and renewable energy) while guaranteeing appropriate quality of service (QoS) level at the same time. Unlike the conventional approach in population games, it considers both atomicity and non-anonymity. Septic arthritis of the knee due to Prevotella loescheii following tooth extraction

This is a case report of septic arthritis of the knee due to Prevotella loescheii, in a patient with advanced arthrosis. Two weeks beforehand he had undergone a dental root extraction without antibiotic prophylaxis. His knee had become inflamed 48 hours after extraction and he was started on ibuprofen and steroid treatment (prescribed by his primary health care doctor). With a provisional diagnosis of septic arthritis, synovial fluid was taken for study. Antimicrobial therapy was commenced with amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and the patient progressed satisfactorily. Prevotella loescheii was identified by anaerobic culture. A site of origin for the infection was never found. Joint infection is generally secondary to haematogenous dissemination of bacteria from habitual sites such as odontogenic locations. We suggest that patients with inflammatory arthropathies should be considered as candidates for antibiotic prophylaxis in oral surgery and invasive dental procedures. We suggest, in these cases, the use of antibiotic with spectrum against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria

A Coalitional Model Predictive Control Approach for Heterogeneous Cellular Networks

Heterogeneous cellular networks (HetNets) are large-scale systems that comprise numerous base stations interacting with a significant number of users of diverse types. Finding a trade-off between energy consumption and quality of service is one of the major challenges in these networks. To deal with this issue, a coalitional model predictive control (MPC) approach is proposed for a HetNet powered by renewable power sources, and compared in simulation with the traditional best-signal level mechanism and the centralized MPC method. Furthermore, other key performance indicators associated with grid consumption such as the number of served users and transmission rates are also evaluated

Morfotipo del futbolista profesional de la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid. Composición corporal

La composición corporal es dentro del estudio cineantropométrico de la población de atletas la que se utiliza con mayor frecuencia, ya que permite de manera inmediata tener una visión global del morfotipo del futbolista sobre el cual se puede actuar modificándolo fácilmente por medio de una adecuada preparación física. Se estudiaron 56 jugadores de fútbol profesional que desarrollan su actividad física en la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid, de manera voluntaria, obteniéndose el consentimiento informado previo de cada uno de ellos de acuerdo a la legislación vigente. La composición corporal se realizó mediante la segmentación del cuerpo humano en cuatro componentes. El análisis estadístico se realizó utilizando el programa de software compatible con PC SPSS 11.5. La edad media de los jugadores estudiados es de 26.087 (edad decimal) ± 3.48 años, la talla media es de 177.87 ± 6.78 cm., el peso medio es de 77.24 ± 5.60 Kg., el porcentaje de grasa medio es de un 10.42 ± 0.70%, el porcentaje muscular es de un 50,04 ± 0.79%, el porcentaje óseo es de un 15.44 ± 0.73% y el peso residual de un 24.10%
