    Get PDF
Survey works on inland waterways can be contingently divided into two directions. The first ones are directed at maintaining the given dimensions of the waterway and are carried out with the use of technical fleet vessels, which includes the dredging fleet. At the same time the basis creation, the results verification and the control of the survey works implementation are carried out by the survey party. The main types of work here are surveying and trawling works, the implementation of which is carried out at the present time on the inland waterways of Russia using geo information technologies, which makes it possible to improve the quality and efficiency of their realization. Such an approach, firstly, has a positive effect on the implementation of the navigational hydrographic support system of navigators, including in the part of electronic cartography, and secondly, it allows to provide the survey works realization at the modern level. The most effective approaches and methods of modern geo information technologies application, implemented for the collection and processing of high-precision bathymetric information and positioning data to ensure the navigation safety on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation, are considered in the paper

Adaptive Method for Estimating Traffic Characteristics in Corporate Multi-Service Communication Networks for Transport Companies

An adaptive method for estimation the traffic characteristics in high-speed corporate multiservice networks based on the methods of preliminary indistinct computer training, functioning in real time mode, is proposed and investigated in this paper. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that many processes of network management in high-speed corporate multiservice communication networks need to be implemented in a mode close to real time. The approach proposed in the paper is based on the concept of conditional nonlinear Pareto-optimal filtering V. C. Pugachev. The essence of this approach consists in the fact that estimation of the traffic parameter is performed in two stages - on the first stage the parameter value prediction is estimated, and on the second stage, when the next parameter observations are received, the parameter values are corrected. In the proposed method and algorithm, predictions of traffic parameter values are made in a small sliding window, and adaptation is implemented based on pseudo-gradient procedures whose parameters are adjusted using the Takagi-Sugeno indistinct logic inference method. The proposed method and algorithm belong to the class of adaptive methods and algorithms with prior learning. The average relative error of the estimated traffic parameters estimation does not exceed 8.2%, which is a sufficient value for the implementation of operational network management tasks

For successful implementation of unmanned technologies on water transport, it is proposed to create a specialized test area where autonomus ships and technologies of autonomus navigation could be tested in real conditions. The paper considers the solution of the problem of placement and technical equipment of the test aquatory, provided that risks are minimized, including collision prevention and environmental damage. To select the location of this aquatory, the features of the inland waterways of the European part of the Russian Federation were analyzed and the requirements for this water area were formulated. As a result, two test sites were proposed that allow for all the necessary types of tests of autonomus ships. The paper synthesizes the main parameters, such as the availability of navigation and hydrographic information, electronic cartography, etc. As a result of the study, a site in lake Ladoga was selected. In order to complete the full cycle of necessary measures during the tests and ensure the safety of navigation in a given area, it was decided to design the test aquatory as a set of three maneuvering zones for an unmanned vessel: the safe free maneuvering zone during testing, the turning zone - area of restricted maneuverability on courses and speeds, as well as on the shift of the steering wheel, and the extra safety maneuvering area used to prevent navigation accidents in difficult navigation conditions. The proposed location and concept of the test aquatory fully meet all the requirements for such an innovative infrastructure at the international level

Fundamentals of training navigators of ships flying foreign flags when entering the inland waterways of the Russian Federation

Navigation on inland waterways, such as rivers, canals, fairways via reservoirs and lakes is performed under conditions of a minimum under the keel clearance, hydrodynamic interaction between the ship's hull and underwater limits of the fairway, and the impact of irregular currents. Piloting a ship difficult navigational conditions requires the navigator to monitor continuously the ship’s motion, assess quickly the situation and develop optimal decision for ship handling, have sufficient navigational experience and a large amount of practical knowledge. To achieve a high level of qualification, the training of navigators is carried out in several ways at once - general and particular pilotage, organization of navigation safety and the theoretical foundations of ship handling. Lack of theoretical or practical knowledge can lead to wrong assessment of navigation situation and therefore be considered as factor limiting passage of vessel and navigational safety. The article contains analysis of inland waterways navigation particulars as basis of training for navigators of ships flying foreign flags when entering the inland waterways of the Russian Federation to reduce influence of limiting factors and support the navigational safety

Test water areas for testing technical means of unmanned water transport. The main directions of patenting the results of research and development

    No full text
The test water area is designed for testing, monitoring and navigation of unmanned surface vessel, both in offline mode and in remote control mode. The paper presents the results of the analysis of the thematic search for security documents (applications, patents for inventions and utility models, certificates for computer programs) in the field of testing of technical means of unmanned water transport. There are six groups of patents in this area: test water area; experimental (test) basin; method (technique) of the test (system, complex for tests); test device; test program; remote control (management, monitoring) of the vessel. The distribution of patent documents by type, years, and countries is presented. It was found that almost half of the selected patent documents are applications for inventions, and in 2017-2018, the largest number of protection documents were registered. It is revealed that the Republic of Korea patents the most inventions in this field of research and development, Chinese organizations take the lead in applications for inventions, and Russia mainly registers computer programs. The overall leadership in the development of technical means for the control, management and monitoring, as well as testing of unmanned surface vessels belongs to China. China actively patents its developments in such areas as “test methods” and “remote control, management and monitoring of an unmanned surface vessel”. Russia is a leader in the following areas: “programs for test water areas and experimental basins” and “programs for testing unmanned surface vessels”. The Republic of Korea is a leader in the field of “devices for testing unmanned surface vessels”

Method for choosing a scheme of placing navigation signs on a section of inland waterways for navigating a vessel with a given navigation risk value

This paper is devoted to the method of choosing a scheme for placing navigation signs on sections of inland waterways to ensure the navigation of vessels with a given level of navigation risks. The methods used are known from the theory of probability and mathematical statistics for the assessment of navigation risks, which is proposed to be performed by stochastic methods, estimating the dis-placement of the center of the vessel's size and the variability of the maneuvering lane. It is shown that according to the results of mathematical modeling of the controlled movement of the vessel along the difficult for navigation section “Ivanovskie Porogi” on the Neva river, these navigation parameters are subject to the normal distribution law. This made it possible to reduce the problem of risk assessment to the problem of finding the probability of a random variable hitting the designated lane. A formal assessment of the navigational risk of navigating a vessel through a section that is difficult for navigation was carried out, on the ba-sis of which it is possible to judge the quality of the vessel's control and the prob-ability of the vessel going beyond the edge of the fairway. The results presented in this work were obtained during the implementation of the INFUTURE international project

Prospects of application of mass-produced GNSS modules for solving high-precision navigation tasks

    No full text
Nowadays, both in the Russian Federation and in foreign countries, the use of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) for solving various applied problems is an extremely popular solution. Taking into account the current level of development of satellite radio navigation systems, ordinary users have been able to determine their position with a sufficiently high accuracy. However, some tasks require the use of high-precision equipment of geodetic class. Such equipment allows obtaining navigation solutions with an accuracy of better than 10 cm. Unfortunately, the cost of navigation-class navigation equipment is extremely high. Specialists working in the field of satellite navigation are particularly interested in the possibility of using mass-produced GNSS modules to obtain high-precision navigation solutions. In this paper, the possibility of such an application will be considered, taking into account the results of laboratory tests of a mass-produced navigation module
