The following Master Plan Report was prepared to be used as a guide for the development of the proposed South Carolina State Museum to be located in Lexington County, in the Columbia, South Carolina, metropolitan area. In addition to outlining the Purpose and Roles of the Museum, the report describes the Programs that will be offered and whom they will serve, the necessary staffing to carry out the Programs, a detailed Facility Program describing the physical facilities that will be required, Capital and Operating Budgets, and a discussion of potential Revenue Sources
