A summary report on research carried out by the NSPCC and the University of Edinburgh into the availability and accessibility of therapeutic services for children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Funded by the Private Equity Foundation, this research aimed to map the services provided for children who have been sexually abused currently provided by a range of voluntary, statutory and private sector organisations. The research involved: searches of local and national information resources; a survey of service providers; follow-up interviews with providers and commissioners of services; and focus groups with young people to find out more about their perceptions of current provision
