The adjuvant effect ofHP-NAP protein is susceptible of therapeutic use in setting up vaccines or immunopotentiating strategies aimed to elicit Th1-typeimmune responses and/or to inhibit undesired Th2- or ThO- type immune responses. Clinical applications of the HP-NAP adjuvanteffect for Th1 cell responses are: a) inhibition of immunopathogenic or undesired responses of Th0/Th2 type, b) potentiation ofweak natural Th1 responses, that per se are unable to exert protection against pathogens or tumors .(FR): L'invention porte sur des méthodes de modification de la qualité des réponses immunes des lymphocytes T auxiliairesspécifiques des antigènes ou des allergènes tirant partie de l'effet adjuvant favorisant Th1 de la protéine activant les neutrophiles(HP-NAP) d'Helicobacter pylori. L'effet adjuvant de la protéine HP-NAP est susceptible d'avoir un rôle thérapeutique dansl'élaboration de vaccins ou de stratégies d'immunopotentialisation afin d'éliciter des réponses immunes de type Th1 et/ou d'inhiberles réponses immunes non désirées de type Th2 ou Th0.
