The use of parenteral medications and intravenous admixtures at surgery wards of a public hospital had been studied. This study was about inappropriateness of the use of parenteral medications included complication of use, rate of use and evaluation of intravenous admixtures system. The result showed that inappropriateness of the use of parenteral medication included complication of use 3,58 % and rate of use 90,65 %. The evaluation of intravenous admixtures system showed that only 16,91 % fulfilled the criteria as required in literatures.
