EVALUASI KONSERVASI KOLEKSI MUSEUM PT.TWC PRAMBANAN

Abstract

This research is aimed to evaluate the collection management conservation of PT.TWC Prambanan museum. This evaluation is to know the collection condition and collection management that applied now. Based on the survey, it is known that Prambanan Museum was managed by the simple management and there is no conservation management of the collection inside. Therefore, through this research is expected to make plan about management conservation for the collection of Prambanan Museum in particular and other museum in general. This research was conducted by applying inductive methode based on primary data and secondary data analysis. The data are assesment from observation, interviews and library research, both written and electronic media. These data are used to support the analysis process. The result of analysis that was made will be used to determine the collection management conservation problems and make of the suitability recommendations for Museum Prambanan collections. The results of the research shows that the collection at the Prambanan Museum are generally in fair condition for the majority, because the collection are stable material such as stone and ceramic. But for such a collection of metal and �daun lontar� are poor condition, because deteriorated that influence by climatology fluctuation and the other environmental component that are not suitable. It can be fixed by making a good management conservation for collection at the Prambanan Museum and improving the human resources and procedures that support all activities at the museum
