PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN MEDIA KOMIK TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP ANAK MENGENAI SARAPAN PAGI DI SEKOLAH DASAR

In Indonesia there are still many children who skip breakfast which will affect nutritional intake and can cause obesity. For this reason, health education is needed for children regarding breakfast with media appropriate to their age was used comics This study aims to determine the effect of comic media on children's knowledge and attitudes about breakfast on students at SDN 15 Padang Sarai. This type of research is a quasi experiment with one group pretest-posttest approach without a control group. The number of samples in this study were 16 people with a purposive sampling technique. Statistical tests was used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed that the median score of knowledge and the average attitude of children before being given health education were 62.5 and 28.94 and after being given health education were 83.4 and 36.13. From the results of the study there is the effect of providing health education with comic media on children's knowledge and attitudes, p values = 0,000 (p <0.05). It is hoped that with this research, comic can be used as a media in providing health education to school age children
