The author shows us the particular features of the Spanish law of Inheritance, namely the reforms that provide special protection to disabled persons, and the great differences between the common civil law system (represented by the Spanish Civil Code) and the various regional civil laws, which have been able to adapt better to the demands of modern society. This is particularly evident in the granting of greater freedom of disposition by will and offering more flexible and diverse instruments of causa mortis disposition
