Next Hackathon Announced!On October 21, Good Systems team members Junfeng Jiao, Sherri Greenbergand Katie Pierce Meyer hosted a Good Systems 311 Calls and 500 CityHackathon. UT students used A.I. and machine learning methods to analyzelarge scale data sets of 311 calls, which log resident complaints, concerns, andnon-emergency problems. This is valuable information that, when examined onaggregate, can help inform local decision-makers and city planners.The winning teams successfully built a website that allows users to search 311databases for detailed information about calls originating in differentneighborhoods, cities, and counties and that predicts future call rates based onhistorical data.
