Abstract

Creation of new media and cultural shifts that accompany this process are taken as a qualitatively new state of society and culture. Changing cultural situation involves reassessment of concepts and values. The current state of humanity is characterized by the increasing role of informatization processes, new technologies and new media. It changes the understanding of various cultural phenomena, including the search for personal identity. In face of contemporary cultural realities the process of establishing the identity of national minorities gets a new meaning and new manifestations. This article presents an attempt to assess the role of new media in shaping the identity of national minorities
