This article aims to propose an interpretation of the real or apparent discrepancy between the effect of invalidity and the right to retain deriving from natural obligations, and to establish a harmonized solution. An interpretation conjugating the rules establishing the right to retain with the obligation to give back for the same legal situation is discussed in this paper.Este artículo apunta a proponer una interpretación en relación con la real o aparente antinomia entre el efecto restitutorio propio de la nulidad y el derecho a retener propio de las obligaciones naturales, antinomia respecto de la cual corresponde establecer una solución armónica.
