The activities of the Metallurgy Departnent at Risø during 1980 are described. The work is presented in four chapters: General Materials Research, Technology and Materials Development, Fuel Elements, Non-Destructive Testing. Furthermore, a survey is given of the department's participation in international collaboration and of its activities within education and training. A list (with abstracts) of publications and lectures by the staff during 1980 is included
