Opinnäytetyöni tarkoitus on perehdytyskansion laatiminen Helsingin Diakonissalaitoksen Alppituvan asumisyksikköön.
Perehdytyskansion avulla kehitetään työyksikön perehdytystoimintaa. Kansio tulee olemaan apuväline henkilökunnalle uusien työntekijöiden, sijaisten ja opiskelijoiden työhön perehdytyksessä ja työyksikön toiminnalliseen sisältöön opastamisessa.
Alppituvasta yhdyshenkilöinä toimivat vastaavat ohjaajat, entisellä nimikkeellä lähiesimies, joiden kanssa yhteistyössä valittiin perehdytyskansioon tulevat asiat. Perehdytyskansiopohjaan koottiin laajasti organisaatiota sekä sen toimintaa koskevia asioita sekä yksikön päivittäisen toiminnan kannalta tärkeitä asioita. Kansiopohjan oltua koekäytössä kuukauden ajan, siitä kerättiin palautetta ja kommentteja kansion toimivuudesta muulta yksikön henkilökunnalta ja vastaavalta ohjaajalta, joka on ollut esimiesasemassa.
Perehdytyskansion pohjasta tehtiin selkeä, helppolukuinen, käytännöllinen ja informatiivinen. Kansiopohja tehtiin myös sähköiseen muotoon, jolloin sitä yksikkö voi päivittää tarpeensa mukaan.

The purpose of this thesis was to produce an introduction folder for the housing accommodation unit of the Helsinki Diakoness Institute, called Alppitupa.
The aim of this introduction folder is to help new and temporary employees to adapt themselves to the orientation process at the unit, as well to ease to the process. By using the introduction folder at the workplace, the orientation of the whole work community is developed. The folder will be a tool for the personnel when they train new and temporary workers on the unit’s tasks.
The theoretical part of the thesis provides information on orientation it`s methodology. The product is an illustrated introduction folder, a file for new employees with information about the Alpptupa unit, the organisation, orientation, qualification requirements, job description, and the examinations and devices belonging to nurses' tasks. The introduction folder is aimed for new nurses and nursing trainees.
The supervisors of the Alppitupa are responsible for the introduction process at the unit, which was the reason they were named to be a contact person. The topics for the information folder were chosen with their cooperation and in cooperation with the unit's head nurse. The contents of the folder includes essential information on the daily activities at the unit. The folder was used during one month in autumn after which the feedback was collected from the unit's stuff and supervisor.
The clear structured and educational introduction folder was created as a production of this thesis. The folder was also transformed into electronic format, which allows the unit to update it according to its needs.
