The ALBA Synchrotron Light Source

Abstract

ALBA is the Spanish third-generation synchrotron light source. It is located in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) and constitutes the largest scientific infrastructure in Spain. The facility consists of an accelerator complex providing 3 GeV electron beam and several experimental beamlines, with photon energies currently ranging from IR up to hard X-rays of tens of KeV. Different synchrotron radiation techniques are available including diffraction, spectroscopies and imaging.
