HER2 Downregulates PUMA by Phosphorylation.

Abstract

<p>HER2 phosphorylates PUMA on three tyrosine residues leading to degradation by the proteasome reducing apoptosis. TM-PUMA, which cannot be phosphorylated by HER2, has an extended half-life and localizes to the mitochondria and promotes apoptosis.</p
