Implementasi Sistem Pendidikan Islam Pada Sekolah yang Berbasis Bilingual di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Islam Al-Azhar 26 dan Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 1 Yogyakarta
This study aims to describe: 1) Implementation of Islamic education system at bilingual-based schools in Islamic Junior High School Al-Azhar 26 and MTs Negeri 1 Yogyakarta. 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors on the implementation of Islamic education system at bilingual-based schools in Islamic Junior High School Al-Azhar 26 and MTs Negeri 1 Yogyakarta.This type of research is field research using qualitative research. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation and triangulation. For data validity, the researcher uses credibility and confirmability test. The data analysis using three stages of data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results showed that 1) implementation of Islamic education system has been implemented but not optimal. Regarding bilingual, in Islamic Junior High School Al-Azhar 26 has organized a bilingual class program and runs 1 year starting in the academic year 2016/2017. In MTs Negeri 1 Yogyakarta there is no special bilingual class program, but it has an extracurricular English Club and Arabic Club. 2) There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Islamic education system. a) Factors supporting the implementation of Islamic education system in Islamic junior high school Al-Azhar 26 and MTs Negeri 1 Yogyakarta is the presence of educators and learners who are Muslims, learners have an elementary certificate / equivalent as administrative requirements, the curriculum is used in common with a common curriculum, strategic location, meetings or meetings related to evaluation. b) Factors inhibiting the implementation of Islamic education system in Islamic junior high school Al-Azhar 26 and MTs Negeri 1 Yogyakarta, namely: there are inexperienced educators, the educators who have not met S1 or DIV qualifications, using a monotonous method, diverse student backgrounds, the number of learners exceeds the capacity of the space, the often changing judgment system, the teachers must be prepared in accordance with the new rules, the ongoing physical construction, the school's physical facilities are not yet optimal, some existing facilities have not been used maximally
