La aparición de Podemos no solo ha marcado un antes y un después en el panorama político español, sino que también ha introducido numerosos cambios en la comunicación política del país. Uno de los más importantes es la incorporación de las redes sociales, especialmente Twitter, como un nuevo espacio donde desarrollar su estrategia comunicativa. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el empleo que el partido y sus principales líderes – Pablo Iglesias, Íñigo Errejón y Juan Carlos Monedero– hacen de la plataforma de microblogging. Para ello se aplica un análisis de contenido centrado en conocer la agenda temática que proponen en esta red social y el uso que hacen de sus principales potencialidades, especialmente, su estrategia en torno del hashtag. Los resultados revelan como Podemos y sus dirigentes utilizan Twitter como un altavoz para dar a conocer sus propuestas programáticas. Asimismo, se demuestra que todos los perfiles aprovechan esta red social como un medio para reforzar su mensaje, caracterizado por el peso de las emociones, los símbolos y la mención al Partido Popular como principal culpable de los problemas por los que atraviesa España.The emergence of Podemos has not only marked a before and after in the Spanish political system, but
also has introduced many changes in the political communication of the country. One of the most
important changes is the incorporation of the social networks, especially Twitter, as a new space where to
develop their communicative strategy. The objective of this paper is to analyze the employment that the
party and its main leaders - Pablo Iglesias, Íñigo Errejón and Juan Carlos Monedero – make of the
microblogging platform. For this, we appllied a content analysis focused on knowing the thematic agenda
that they propose in this social network and the use that they make of its potentialities, especially, its
strategy around the hashtag as framing of the message. The results reveal how Podemos and its leaders
use Twitter to publicize their programmatic proposals. Moreover, it is shown that all profiles use this social
network as a channel to reinforce its message, characterized by the weight of emotions, symbols and the
mention of the Popular Party as main guilty of the problems of Spain
