International audienceSport and international law form a "singular couple" (Bedjaoui), which doctrine is not used to bringing together. Apart from a few occasional studies on questions that are often incidental, the legal literature devoted to these (dangerous?) liaisons is characterised by a notable paucity.Sport is nowadays well 'captured' by an international law distinct from the self-sufficient transnational sport law. In the contributions to this book, the interactions - harmonious or chaotic - of sport and international law will be examined in three specific areas, which do not claim to be exhaustive: investment law, human rights and arbitration law. In a more systematic way, the present text will try to shed light on the inner workings of this "singular" household, through the identification of the contributions of international law to sport (I) as well as those of sport to international law (II)Sport et droit international forment un « couple singulier » (Bedjaoui), que la doctrine n'a guère l'habitude de réunir. Hormis quelques études ponctuelles sur des questions souvent incidentes, la littérature juridique consacrée à ces liaisons (dangereuses ?) se caractérise par une indigence notable.Le sport est aujourd’hui bien « saisi » par un droit international distinct du droit transnational sportif aux prétentions autosuffisantes. Les interactions – harmonieuses ou chaotiques – du sport et du droit international seront, dans les contributions de cet ouvrage, examinées dans trois domaines spécifiques, qui ne prétendent pas à l’exhaustivité : le droit des investissements, les droits de l’homme et le droit de l’arbitrage.
