: Investment Based on Sharia Business (a Studi of Law No. 21 2008 on Islamic Banking). Islam, a religion that considers business activity as a form of caliph in earth, deprecates resources that are not used well particularly assets that are not managed. Islam strongly encourages people to invest so that wealth can grow and does not just accumulate on a certain group. As a Muslim predominant country, Indonesian government issued Law No.21 Year 2008 on Islamic Banking which regulates investment procedure so that it do not conflict with the Qur\u27an, al-hadith, ijma ‘and qiyas. The law is intended to provide legal assurance to investors hence the rate of investment will proceed with strong foundation of legal certainty
