en la aportación de nueva información dentro del ámbito de las actitudes hacia las
orientaciones sexuales no heterosexuales. Así, se pretende estudiar en población
española la influencia de las variables sexo, edad, creencias religiosas, orientación
sexual y relación con personas LGB en las actitudes hacia la homosexualidad,
bisexualidad y homoparentalidad. Los resultados obtenidos a partir de las encuestas
realizadas (n=505) muestran que las mujeres, las personas ateas o agnósticas y aquellas
que tienen amigos LGB parecen mostrar actitudes más favorables hacia este colectivo.
Los resultados no parecen encontrar que las variables edad y el hecho de tener
familiares LGB influyan en las actitudes hacia la homosexualidad. Por último, el
presente estudio evidencia que aquellas personas con actitudes más igualitarias respecto
al género suelen ser a su vez menos homófobas.The development of this research is justified in order to update and provide new
information about the attitudes toward non-heterosexual orientations. Thus, it is
intended to study, in Spanish population, the influence of sex, age, religious beliefs,
sexual orientation and relationship with LGB people in the attitudes toward
homosexuality, bisexuality and homoparentality. The results obtained from the surveys
(n=505) show that women, agnostics and atheists and those who have LGB friends
seem to show more favorable attitudes towards this group. The results do not seem to
find an influence in attitudes towards homosexuality in the variables ‘age’ and ‘having
an LGB family member’. Finally, this study shows that those with more egalitarian
gender attitudes often are less homophobic
