Kultivasi Nilai-Nilai Budaya Toraja Orang Tua dan Anak melalui Komunikasi Keluarga di Kota Makassar “Cultivation Cultural Values Toraja Parents And Children Through Family Communication In Makassar City”

Abstract

: Family communication is part of interpersonal communication that involves the exchange of messages, both verbal and non-verbal between parents and children in instilling or cultivate the child to cultural values of their parents. The purpose of this study was categorizing cultivation cultural values Toraja parents and children through family communication. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive study to examine in depth the cultivation of cultural values Toraja. The study found a pattern of cultivation first, parents and children of active and participatory in learning cultural values Toraja. Second, parents are active and have a high participation in the teaching of cultural values Toraja on their children. Third, children are more proactive and participatory in learning cultural values Toraja, Toraja ethnic fellow neighbors, playmates and friends at school who also have the same ethnicity
