St. Paul, Minn. - A jazz concert featuring noted pianist MarshallGriffith will be performed at Macalester College on Monday,October 18 at 8 p.m. in the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center ConcertHall.Griffith is a pianist and composer who teaches music theory andimprovisation at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He will performseveral original jazz compositions including a suite titled “JazzImpressions of Minnesota.” He’ll be joined by Dave Karr onsaxophone, Gordon Johnson on bass, and Macalester facultymember Joan Griffith, who directs MacJazz and jazz combos, onguitar.No reservations are required.
