La creación de ficción tras los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001 se ha visto afectada por un fenómeno de sacralización alrededor del incidente que la restringe o condiciona. Antonio Muñoz Molina ha abordado el tema del 11-S en su libro Ventanas de Manhattan.
