Cherenkov Fibers For Beam Diagnostics at the Metrology Light Source

Abstract

After a successful commissioning the Metrology Light Source is in user operation since 2008. Machine studies are still on going in order to improve the injection efficiency and to minimize the impact of trapped ions. Special operation modes such as a low alpha optic are implemented. Recently, Cherenkov fibers have been installed along the complete storage ring for diagnostic purposes during commissioning.
