Study of Grating-coupled External Cavity Tunable Semiconductor Laser Based on GaN and its Actively mode-locked Research

Abstract

普通边发射半导体激光器的光谱谱线较宽、光束相干性差、波长不可调谐,在很多应用领域都受到了限制,而利用外腔光反馈选模技术可以对现有的边发射激光器进行改进,构成外腔可调谐半导体激光器,从而输出频率稳定、窄线宽、可调谐的激光束,因此在光纤通信等领域有着广泛的应用前景。特别是位于蓝紫光波段的GaN基外腔可调谐半导体激光器,其所具有的波长优势,在高分辨率原子分子光谱测试、气体探测、高容量全息数据存储等领域具有潜在应用前景。此外,结合主动锁模技术,GaN基外腔可调谐半导体激光器可以输出超短脉冲激光,是高速开关和时间分辨光谱测试的理想光源。本论文基于以上研究意义,开展了GaN基光栅外腔可调谐半导体激光器及主...Semiconductor lasers are restricted in many applications because of their broad linewidth, poor coherence, and untunable wavelength.
