SDC refinement of propositions E-Group E-Group Prep materials for public engagement E-Group Design & print materials E-Group     How the Core Group will work The Core Group includes energy suppliers and representatives from other groups such as fuel poverty specialists, suppliers and installers of energy-saving measures, and financial experts. The focus of the group will be to work creatively to devise propositions for reducing household energy emissions, potentially consisting of different finance options, installed measures and services.    How the E-group will work The E-group will be sent information between Core Group meetings, with specific questions or requests for responses on particular issues.  The responses will be collated by the Sustainable Development Commission, and will feed into the Core Group’s next discussions, and / or the planning of the consumer discussion groups (depending on the stage the project has reached).  The E-group will be a Yahoo! Group, which means that responses will be shared with the whole group, as well as being stored in a message archive on the group web page.     Consumer discussion groups During May, the propositions developed by the Core Group will be shared with consumers in a series of discussion groups.  In these groups, independent researchers Opinion Leader will explore how consumers respond to the propositions, including their perceptions of how the propositions might affect vulnerable groups.  These discussions will also provide insights into what further information and development is needed, to produce propositions which are likely to be supported by consumers.     Independent facilitation The project is being facilitated by independent facilitators from 3KQ (www.3kq.co.uk) and Opinion Leader (www.opinionleader.co.uk).     E-group timetable The Core Group will be meeting on 13th February and 14th March, and again in early June (date to be confirmed).  The consumer discussion groups will take place during May.  We anticipate, therefore, that the timetable for the e-group’s input will be:  Week commencing  18th February Information following Core Group 1, with questions / issues for response by 29th February. 17th March Information following Core Group 2 with questions / issues for response by 28th March. 19th May Information following consumer discussion groups, with questions / issues for response by 6th June.  23rd June Final communication to E-group, summarising results of the project.
