This short comment is based on a series of speeches I gave in Manila last year, and its publication coincides with President Ramos' efforts to enact a "fair competition law" modeled on our Sherman Act. Later this month I will return to Manila with the Chairman of our firm's International Practice Group to conduct a seminar for the government officials and business executives who will enforce and comply with the new Philippine law.
