This research was conducted to find out what motives subscribers get when listening to Trio Kurnia's podcast content, where Trio Kurnia's own podcast content is ranked number 1 in Noice's weekly podcast. Motive itself is something that can cause an individual to carry out a certain activity. Basically, a motive is an encouragement to achieve a goal or satisfaction. This motif can be an encouragement for individuals to consume or search for content in the Noice application, especially Trio Kurnia podcast content. In this study, researchers used the Uses and Gratification theory with four indicators taken from Gary and Paul's journal, namely entertainment and relaxation, interpersonal relationships, seeking information, friendship.
The method used in this research is a survey, with a descriptive research type and a quantitative approach using validity tests, reliability tests, descriptive tests. The results of this study also show that the highest motives are entertainment and relaxation, interpersonal relationships, seeking information, friendship. Apart from that, the uses and gratifications theory still proves relevant and useful in explaining how and why listeners choose and use certain media to fulfill their personal needs and desires
