Abstract

Father John Paul Kimes Fr. John Paul Kimes is an Associate Professor of the Practice at Notre Dame Law School and the Raymond of Penafort Fellow in Canon Law at the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture. Prior to joining the Notre Dame Law School faculty, he served for 11 years as a canon lawyer at the Vatican\u27s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Father Michael Shami Fr. Michael Shami is a PhD student at Notre Dame. He graduated from NYU with a BA in history and philosophy. He attended seminary at the Pontifical North American College in Rome and received an STB from the Pontifical Gregorian University. Perla Khattar Perla Khattar is a JSD candidate at Notre Dame Law School. Originally from Lebanon, Perla is an attorney that specialises in human rights and consumer privacy.
