Relationship between Students’ Perceptions of the Learning Environment and Teacher's Teaching Style on Cognitive Learning Outcomes in Science Subjects: Hubungan Persepsi Siswa tentang Lingkungan Belajar dan Gaya Mengajar Guru terhadap Hasil Belajar Kognitif pada Mata Pelajaran IPA

Abstract

The study aims to 1) describe the relationship between students' perceptions of the learning environment to science cognitive learning outcomes, 2) describe the relationship between students' perceptions of teachers' teaching styles to science cognitive learning outcomes 3) describe the relationship between students' perceptions of the learning environment and teachers' teaching styles to science cognitive learning outcomes. The type of research used is non-experimental quantitative research which is included in correlational research with Multiple Regression analysis techniques. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that 1) there was no significant relationship between students' perceptions of the learning environment and cognitive learning outcomes of science students, 2) there was a significant relationship between teachers' teaching styles and cognitive learning outcomes of science students, and 3) there was no significant relationship between students' perceptions of the learning environment and teachers' teaching styles on learning outcomes
