This paper is concerned with the use Aquinas makes of the Aristotelian
theory of the first principies within the practical domain. The author tries
to show how Aquinas connects such a theory with both Stoic and
Christian idea of natural law. So, he is able to read the Nicomachean
Ethics' text on natural justice in a different and very original way
