Visitadoras sociales como “Narraciones de la transición”: El problema de la visibilidad de la temporalidad e historicidad de las poblaciones Callampas del Santiago 1952 - 1959.

Abstract

This investigative work is aimed to problematize from the category of "Transitional Narrative”, developed by the historiography of Subaltern Studies, how social workers talk, both of the school of Social Service of the University of Chile (U de Chile), and the School Elvira Cruchaga Matte Annex of the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC), by developing their field of intervention in the informal Habitats of the Población Callampa (population slum), between 1952-1959. They ended up depicting a cronocentric narration, that would turn the temporality and historicity of these main social actors oblivious, and leading them instead into a linear transition searching to legitimize the modern habitat and thus the bourgeois society.El presente trabajo investigativo, se ocupa de problematizar a partir de la categoría de “Narración de la Transición”, desarrollada por la historiografía de los Estudios Subalternos, el cómo las hablas Visitadoras Sociales, tanto de la Escuela de Servicio Social de la Universidad de Chile (U de Chile) y de la Escuela Elvira Matte Cruchaga, anexo de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), al desarrollar su campo de intervención en el habitar popular de las llamadas Poblaciones Callampas entre 1952-1959, terminaron por plasmar una narración cronocéntrica, que invisibilizaría la temporalidad e historicidad de dichos actores sociales, para inscribirlos en una lineal transición, que buscaría legitimar el habitar moderno y con ello la ciudadanía burguesa
