This proceeding is an overview on the development and construction of a dual-phase liquid xenon time projection chamber in Mainz. It will be used for the measurement of thescintillation and ionization yield of electronic and nuclear recoils off xenon nuclei in a scattering experiment across a wide range of energies. In addition, we aim at measuringthe pulse shape of the scintillation light with high bandwidth and study its suitability as a discrimination method for background events
