Konsep Diri Mantan Penderita Kusta melalui Komunikasi Antarpribadi

Abstract

Behavior the formers of leprosy patients considered a form of affirmation of the values of the self-concept in the Bohemian as well as a bond between them as former lepers in the community and as a differentiator for the community outself. The study aims to find out the self-concept and shaping pattern of self-concept of the formers of leprosy patients through interpersonal communication and the self- disclosure of the formers of leprosy patients. This study was used qualitative study with phenomenological approach. The results of this study reveal that the dimension of the self-concept of the formers of leprosy patients consists of two part, in self perception which is related to how they perceive themselves physically, and out self perception which is related to how the other people value themselves. The results of this study can be concluded that the self-concept of formers leprosy patients as a process that begins with the establishment of information about themselves to form the self-concept
