Abstract
The formation of spatiotemporal X waves is investigated in planar highly nonlinear normally dispersive AlGaAs waveguides. The roles of the amplitude and relative phase of a CW background on a bell-shaped spatiotemporal beam are considered. © 2005 Optical Society of America
