Seen from statement to hence becoming its the problem formula is how expansion impact of industrial area of Kariangau (KIK) to improvement of prosperity of public in sub-district of Kariangau district of Balikpapan town west Balikpapan, purpose of in this research description to
level of prosperity of sub-district public of Kariangau district of Balikpapan town west Balikpapan before and after existence of industry, becoming sample in this research is all member of sub-district of Kariangau with number of 97 samples by using technique random at random with criterion: (1) industrial area people around ± 3-5 years resides, (2) factory employee/have ever become factory employee, (3) has having family. Retrieval method of data in this research that is enquette, interview, observation and documentation, while in analyzing researcher to apply qualitative descriptive method which writer depicts situation of object that is accurate.
From result of research about expansion impact of industrial area of Kariangau (KIK) to improvement of prosperity of public it is known that before existence of industry level of prosperity of public around still be low visible from level of earnings of public which still low of
which only rely on production from working as farmer and farmworker with low and erratic production, and still lack of awareness of public to the importance of education, health, and form of house which still non permanent. Then after existence of industry level of prosperity of public
becomes increasing is visible from level of earnings of better public, because with existence of industrial activity in sub-district of Kariangau opens many opportunities to add production they by working and trying around industrial area. Public that is formerly only as farmworker after existence of industry they can add its(the production by becoming industrial labour, and there are
also public opening food and beverage booth is around [by] industrial area, leases its(the house, opens workshop and other. By having work to add production hence sub-district public of Kariangau can increase its(the production, hence awareness of education public would become important because education for children of vital importance that later can work as employee in industry, public also with existence of improvement in its(the production can cast aside its(the money to save for requirement that is is not is anticipated, and public can build its(the house becomes permanent like the one now have been many in sub-districts Kariangau.
Thereby, after existence of industry and production of public increased hence life level of public also increases so that with high production of public can fulfill basic necessities which then will reach of level of public prosperity. With existence of industrial activity in sub-district of Kariangau public must really can exploit the opportunity and active role of local government to
give counselling and training to public that sub-district public of Kariangau can work or tries around industrial area for the agenda of increasing production of public that level of prosperity of public is reached
