This course introduces thefundamental concepts, methods, and perspectives of the field and the four subfields ofanthropology: biological anthropology, archaeology, social/cultural anthropology, and linguisticanthropology. It provides a description and analysis of human culture, its growth and change, aswell as the nature and functions of social institutions.
