The semiotics of audio visual identity of Blade Runner
Tema ovog diplomskog rada jest semiotika filma Blade Runner redatelja Ridley
Scotta. PolazeÄi od pretpostavke da je kazaliÅ”ni, time i filmski kostim zasebna cjelina za sebe
koja prezentira i igra jednako kao i glumac, odnosno, lik, naglasak unutar istraživanja jest na
studijama Rolanda Barthesa i njegovoj semiotiÄkoj podjeli. Ona se primjenjuje na analizu
cjelokupnog identiteta filma, i to ne samo na kostime odreÄenih likova, veÄ i na scenografiju,
glazbu, atmosferu, dramaturŔku poruku i cjelokupni dojam. Svrha ovog presjeka niza
znaÄenja unutar samog prikaza jest da produbi percepciju dramaturÅ”ke niti i konteksta, te kao
dokaz prinese potpunu i pomno promiŔljenu povezanost semantike unutar filma.
Kao dodatak diplomskom radu priložen je kratki autorski modni film inspiriran upravo
navedenom semantikom i autoriÄino vlastito viÄenje ideje koja proizlazi iz navedenih
pojmova.This research is a summary of semotic elements of Ridley Scott's movie Blade
Runner. Looking through the semiotic theory of Roland Barthes and the specifics of theatre
and film costume in means of influencing the viewer and his thoughts, feelings and overall
chatarsis, the identity of Blade Runner has been set through analysis of various elements. By
combining the results of all the film levels via psychological test by Robert Plutchik, a visual
presentation of all the influences that lead to the final feeling has been made. Thus, we find
the prevalence of cetain thoughts that leed the viewer to change his perception
HOPE IN THE GLOBALISED WORLD IN THE PROSPECTIVE OF BIBLICAL MOTIVES OF BABEL AND BABYLON
U Älanku se polazi od Äinjenice da i najobjektivniji kritiÄari u globalizaciji koja je postala naÅ”a stvarnost vide viÅ”e prijetnji nego nade. TragajuÄi za biblijskom situacijom koja bi mogla osvijetliti pitanje nade u globalizacijskom svijetu odluÄili smo se za pojam Babela u Post 11, 1-9 i Babilona u Otkrivenju. AnalizirajuÄi pojam Babela uoÄili smo da je grijeh Babela srodan tamnoj strani globalizacije. Graditelji Babela koriste tehnologiju da bi pobjegli od vlastite stvorenosti pri Äemu stradava upravo ljudsko dostojanstvo; umjesto da napuÄe zemlju oni se zatvaraju unutar zidina u vlastitu samodostatnost; u svojoj arogantnosti žele si priskrbiti vlastiti identitet s ciljem da budu neovisni o Bogu, Å”toviÅ”e, da mu budu ravni. BuduÄi da su u svom jednoumlju sposobni za svako zlo, Bog ih zaustavlja. Ono Å”to nisu htjeli graditelji Babela ostvaruje Abraham koji izlazi iz grada da bi postao blagoslovom za sve narode. Da Babel nije zadnja rijeÄ potvrÄuje i Pedesetnica koja obnavlja meÄusobno razumijevanje ljudi i utemeljuje jedinstvo koje afirmira razliÄitost. Babilon u Otkrivenju, kao i Babel u Post 11, 1-9, predstavlja stvarnost protivnu Bogu koja nema buduÄnosti. Babilon je Rim koji kao bludnica zavodi i iskoriÅ”tava svojim bezbožniÄkim životom. KrÅ”Äani su pozvani da iziÄu iz Babilona i uÄu u Novi Jeruzalem, eshatoloÅ”ku stvarnost koja je veÄ sada prisutna tamo gdje ljudi ne prihvaÄaju zavodljivost i nasilje Babilona nego u srediÅ”te svog života stavljaju Boga. Premda u mnogoÄemu nalikuje Babelu i Babilonu, globalizacija može postati sliÄnija Novom Jeruzalemu, ukoliko smo spremni ostaviti Babilon i veÄ sada živjeti vrednote Novog Jeruzalema.Even the most objective critics of the globalisation perceive it as threatening rather than hope inspiring reality: this is the starting point of the article. In a search of a biblical situation clarifying the issue of hope in the globalized world, we focused on the motive of Babel in Gen 11, 1-9 and Babylon in the Book of Revelation. In an analysis of Babel, we noticed that the sin of Babel is akin to the dark side of the globalisation. The constructors of Babel use the technology to escape from the proper creature-ship, meanwhile the human dignity suffers; instead of inhabiting the earth they are closing themselves inside the walls, in own self-sufficiency; they arrogantly want to achieve the proper identity whose goal is to be independent from God, and even more: an equality with God. Unanimity and singlemindedness makes them capable of every evil, so God is stopping them. Abraham, on the contrary, will go out of the city and become a blessing for every people. Pentecost will confirm that Babel will not have the last word: Pentecost will renew the mutual understanding of people, establishing the unity which affirms the diversity. Babylon in the Revelation, just as Babel in Gen 11, 1-9, represents a futureless reality, hostile to God. Babylon is Rome, seducing like an Adulteress and exploiting others with her godless life. Christians are invited to go out from Babylon and to enter the new Jerusalem, the eschatological reality already present where people do not accept the appeal and violence of Babylon, but make God the centre of their lives. Although similar to Babel and Babylon, globalisation can become similar to the new Jerusalem, if we are ready to leave Babylon and ready to live the virtues of the New Jerusalem
GLOBALISATION ā THE HOPE OF ECUMENISM
Äovjek trajno u sebi nosi i živi diskrepanciju jedinstvo-zajedniÅ”tvo. I jedno i drugo neophodno je za njegov opstanak. Bez jedinstva i zajedniÅ”tva, ujedinjenih snaga na mnogim podruÄjima življenja i stvaranja, on ne bi mogao postiÄi niÅ”ta. No i jedno i drugo danas se u pluralnome svijetu shvaÄa dosta razliÄito. Za jedne jedinstvo znaÄi uniformiranost, drugi se zbog toga boje jedinstva pa traže zajedniÅ”tvo u razliÄitosti. Jedni naglaÅ”avaju ono Å”to ujedinjava, Å”to se pretaÄe u jedno, drugi naglaÅ”avaju razliÄitost koja uvijek ostavlja individuuma da bude i ostane svoj. Sve je to iznjedrilo nekoliko modela za jedinstvo svih krÅ”Äana. Mnogi su od njih sliÄni ili razliÄiti samo za odreÄene nijanse dok ima i onih koji su posve ekstremni koje bismo lako mogli svrstati u suvremeni sinkretizam. Globalizacija koja je uÅ”la u sve pore ljudskoga življena nije mimoiÅ”la ni krÅ”Äanstvo veÄ mu je pomogla i pomagala da unutar njega razdijeljene i viÅ”e puta jedne prema drugima neprijateljski postavljenje Crkve i crkvene zajednice uspostave dijalog ā baziran na teologiji i praksi ā koji Äe ih voditi do ponovnoga ujedinjenja. Time je globalizacija otvorila put bilo prema uniformiranosti krÅ”Äanstva, radi koje Äe se mnoge zajednice ā one manje ā morati odreÄi mnogih svojih osobina, bilo prema takvome pluralizmu koji Äe po svaku cijenu htjeti spojiti nespojivo. Äinjenica je da je do danas krÅ”Äanstvo ostalo razjedinjeno. Ali je puno Å”to krÅ”Äani neprestano meÄusobno dijalogiziraju te zajedniÄki djeluju na mnogim podruÄjima od svjetskoga znaÄenja: na podruÄju mira, pravde u svijetu, karitativnoga djelovanja itd. Put prema jedinstvu joÅ” se nalazi pred vratima svake Crkve i svake crkvene zajednice. Ono Äe biti uspostavljeno ā uz prihvaÄanje nebitnih razliÄitosti ā kad nam budu zajedniÄki sakramenti i zajedniÄke službe u Crkvi. Samo Äemo tada biti jedno, jer Äe se samo tada ostvariti Isusova molitva Ā«da budu jednoĀ».Human life is characterised by a constant discrepancy between unity and communion. Both are necessary for the existence. Without the unity and the communion, united forces in many fields of life and creativity, man could not achieve a thing. But, today in a pluralistic world both concepts are understood in various ways. Some will equal unity with uniformity, others will for the same reason be sceptical towards unity, in search for the communion in diversity. Some will accentuate the unifying factor, others will stress the difference, leaving space to the individuality of the person. All this gave birth to few models of the unity of all Christians, ranging from divergences in nuances to extreme expressions that could be understood as a modern syncretism. Globalisation helped Christianity by establishing the connection and the dialogue between hostile Churches and relative communities, a dialogue based on theology and practice and leading to reunion. In this way globalisation opened a path ā either towards a uniformity of the Christianity, demanding the adjustment of smaller communities, or towards a pluralism tending to unite the incompatible. Christianity lacks unity up to our days. But is it significant that Christians are in a continuous dialogue, acting together in many fields of a global importance: peace, justice, caritas etc. The way towards the unity stands before every Church and every ecclesiastical community. Unity will be established when sacraments and ministries in the Church become a common matter. Only in that moment weāll be one, for only then Jesusā prayer āthat they may be oneā will be fulfilled
Influence of foliar treatments on morphology and pomological characteristics of "OblaÄinske" sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) fruit
Istraživanje s ciljem utvrÄivanja utjecaja folijarnih tretmana na morfologiju, odnosno vegetativni i generativni potencijal āOblaÄinskeā viÅ”nje provedeno je u voÄnjaku obiteljskog gospodarstva BrankoviÄ u KruÅ”evici,Brodsko-posavska županija. OblaÄinska viÅ”nja koju smo odabrali za pokus posaÄena je u sklopu od 1111 komada po hektaru (4,5 x 2 m) na vlastitom korijenu. Pokus je ukljuÄivao tretmanekombinacijom folijarnih gnojiva (N, K, Si, B, Zn) i ekstrakta algi te je postavljen po sluÄajnom bloknom rasporedu.Tretmani su ukljuÄivali 3 meÄusobno odvojena bloka ponavljanja (repeticije). Svako ponavljanje je ukljuÄivalo 5 stabala (ukupno 15 stabala po tretmanu). Kontrolna stabla (3 repeticije, 15 stabala) bila su tretirana istom koliÄinom vode bez dodataka folijarnih gnojiva i algi.Kombinacija mikro elemenata (B, ZN, Si) i makro elemenata (N, K) pokazala je realan potencijal kao agrotehniÄka mjera u proizvodnji viÅ”nje, naruÄito u režimu bez navodnjavanja. Ciljana folijarna aplikacija poboljÅ”ala je dinamiku i distribuciju hraniva unutar stabla Äime se postigla bolja uniformiranost vegetativnih i generativnih elemenata. Realizacija generativnog potencijala (zametanje plodova) u odnosu na inicijalni plodni set te funkcionalni rast i konzistenstnost do fenofaze zrenja znaÄajno je poboljÅ”ana tretmanima folijarnim gnojivima. Kontrolirana i precizna gnojidba po fenofazama rezultirala je veÄim prinosom unatoÄ stresnim uvijetima.The research aimed at determining the influence of foliar treatments on morphology, ie the vegetative and generative potential of "OblaÄinska" cherries, was carried out in the BrankoviÄ family farm in KruÅ”evica, Brodsko-Posavska County. The sour cherry we chose for the experiment were planted within 1111 pieces per hectare (4.5 x 2 m) on their own root. The trial included treatments with a combination of foliar fertilizers (N, K, Si, B, Zn) and algae extracts, and was set up by random block schedule. Treatments included 3 interdependent repetition blocks. Each repetition involved 5 trees (a total of 15 trees per treatment). Control trees (3 reps, 15 trees) were treated with the same amount of water without the addition of foil and algae. The combination of micro elements (B, ZN, Si) and macro elements (N, K) showed a realistic potential as an agrotechnical measure in cherry production without irrigation regime. The target foil application has improved the dynamics and distribution of nutrients within the tree, thus achieving a better uniformity of vegetative and generative elements. Realization of the generative potential (seed production) in relation to the initial fruit set and the functional growth and consistency of the ripening phenophase has been significantly improved by the treatment of foliar fertilizers. Controlled and precise fertilization by phenophases resulted in higher yields despite stressful condition
