Analysis of the reliability of the components of a multiservice communication network based on the theory of fuzzy sets

The article presents the results of modeling the solution to the problem of determining the reliability of the components of a multiservice communication network (MCN) based on the theory of fuzzy sets. The main characteristics of the equipment that affect the reliability parameters of the MCN are given. To solve the problem of determining the reliability of MCN components based on the theory of fuzzy sets, a multiservice network is presented in the form of a hierarchical diagram, which shows the main components of each network level. A multiservice network is presented as a parameter of the U function. The reliable state of the MCN depends on the state of the equipment at the corresponding levels. The results of modeling the solution to the problem of determining the reliability of MCN components based on the theory of fuzzy sets are presented using the mathematical apparatus of the theory of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic in MATLAB fuzzy logic toolbox, fuzzyTECH

Fuzzy Transfer Pricing World: On the Analysis of Transfer Pricing with Fuzzy Logic Techniques

The arm’s length analysis of international transfer prices of multinational firms lacks sound methodological approach of the so-called function and risk analysis. In practice, such analyses are descriptive. Derived from Zadeh’s mathematical theory of fuzzy sets, this paper investigates a quantitative approach to identify the function and risk pattern of related parties of multinational companies. We illustrate our fuzzy logic approach with a simple case.

On Fuzzy Concepts

In this paper we try to combine two approaches. One is the theory of knowledge graphs in which concepts are represented by graphs. The other is the axiomatic theory of fuzzy sets (AFS). The discussion will focus on the idea of fuzzy concept. It will be argued that the fuzziness of a concept in natural language is mainly due to the difference in interpretation that people give to a certain word. As different interpretations lead to different knowledge graphs, the notion of fuzzy concept should be describable in terms of sets of graphs. This leads to a natural introduction of membership values for elements of graphs. Using these membership values we apply AFS theory as well as an alternative approach to calculate fuzzy decision trees, that can be used to determine the most relevant elements of a concept
