Taxpayers Knowledge: a Descriptive Evidence on Demographic Factors in Malaysia

The objective of this paper is to determine the demographic factors in influence the behavior of taxpayers. Levene\u27s test shows that there is no significant mean different between male and female, no significant mean different between government and private servants tax knowledge score. Furthermore, there is no significant different between Chinese and Indian score, the different is only 0.10%. As the analysis goes further, Levene\u27 test shows that there is a significant mean different between Malay and Chinese (p < 0.10, a = 0.05) as well as Indian and Chinese (p < 0.10, a = 0.05)

Karakterisasi Ball Mill Import Pada Industri Semen Di Indonesia

The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of import Ball Mill which is used at cement mills in Indonesia. There were two kind of import Ball Mill from PT. Semen Gresik, Tbk that used in this research which are A type (Ø 30 mm) and B type (Ø 40 mm). Visual investigation, chemistry composition, distribution of hardness, and microstructure photograph was conducted characterize these ball mill. Visually, the import Ball Mill has rough surface, white coloring when cut off, and small cracks at all specimens. Type A ball mill contains of 2,934% C, 11,231% Cr, and 0,177% Mo, where type B Ball Mill contains of 2,693% C, 12,31% Cr, and 1,103% Mo. Both are martensitic white cast iron ASTM A532 Class II type A. The surface are harder then the its core. The highest hardness on the surface are 720,82 kg/mm2 (type A) and 746,5 kg/mm2 (type B), where as lowest hardness on the core are 631,1 kg/mm2 (type A) and 544,0 kg/mm2 (type B). Microstructure investigation shows Perlit, Cementit, and Martensit

Adaptive Blind Channel Equalization for Mobile Multimedia Communication

In the last decade much research effort has been dedicated to deal with the issues of wireless multimedia communications, in particular bandwidth limitation and channel impairment. We have recently proposed a new scheme for blind equalization called sinusoidally-distributed dither signed-error constant modulus algorithm (S-DSE-CMA). In this paper, we test this scheme for wireless image transmission. Simulation showed that the low complexity of implementation and fast convergence rate are the major advantages of employing the new scheme for multimedia applications. It is also shown, from perceptual-based analysis as well as objective measurements using peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of the recovered image, that the recently-proposed blind adaptive equalization algorithm outperforms existing methods, e.g., uniformly-distributed DSE-CMA

MARKETING ON POLITICS AND PUBLIC LEADERSHIP

This study examines the influence of political marketing and political will on public leadership and individual performance. The sample used is the people in Surabaya as many as 265 with a random sampling method. Amos 21 is used to test the indirect effect by using bootstrap test. The result of the research shows that political marketing and political will have a significant influence to the success of gaining public leadership, political marketing and marketing will have no significant effect on performance, and public leadership has a significant effect on performance. For the indirect influence, political marketing and political will on individual performance are mediated by public leadership

Analisa Ketangguhan Dan Struktur Mikro Pada Daerah Las Dan HAZ Hasil Pengelasan Sumerged Arc Welding Pada Baja SM 490

Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) is one of method for welding process which used for the extensions of heavy construction, for example bridge construction. Broadness USAge of SAW caused by welding process can be done automatically and have high reliability. Microstructure and toughness properties of weld metal were influenced by many factors such as chemical composition, heat input, filler, fluks, etc. This research aim to study influence of heat input. Welding Process was carried out using SAW with the material is SM 490, filler type used was EH 14 and the heat input were varied at 2,1 kJ/mm, 3,16 kJ/mm and 4,3 kJ/mm. The Results of this research show that an increase on heat input leads to coarsening the microstructure on the weld metal. A maximum percentage of Acicular Ferrite and hence the highest impact toughness were achieved at weld metal with heat input 2,1 kJ/mm where it\u27s 50 joule with transition temperature -10 oC. The highest toughness with transition temperature 20 oC were obtained at heat input 3,16 kJ/mm where toughness was 117 joule

Power Flow in a Load-Current Sensorless Shunt Active Power Filter

Get PDF
In this paper, power flow analysis of a three-phase four-wire system with a shunt active power filter in steady state is presented. The analysis begins with a mathematical model of the power inverter and continues to find the relationship of the real and imaginary power as well as zero sequence power in the grid, loads, and the inverter (AC and DC sides) for successful compensation. The system includes mixed non-linear loads with significant unbalanced components. The filter consists of a three-phase current-controlled voltage source inverter (CC-VSI) with a filter inductance at the AC output and a DC-bus capacitor. The CC-VSI is operated to directly control the AC grid current to be sinusoidal and in phase with the grid voltage. Computer simulation results verify the concept of the filter and the power flow

Intellectual Capital Dan Keunggulan Kompetitif (Studi Empiris Perusahaan Manufaktur Versi Jakarta Stock Industrial Classification-JASICA)

This research investigates the differences on value added and intellectual capital (IC) efficiency of the companies with sustained and un-sustained competitive advantage. This research uses manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2009-2011 according to JASICA version. This research indicates that the value creation (proxied by value added intellectual coefficient-VAICTM) and IC efficiency (proxied by intellectual capital efficiency-ICE) of companies with sustained competitive advantage significantly different from companies with unsustained competitive advantage. This finding supports the Resource-based Theory which asserts that company with sustained competitive advantage has an ability to create value for its stakeholder and manages its VRIN (Valuable, Rare, Inimitable, and Non-substitutable) strategic assets efficiently
