Communication Interface in MATLAB Software for Data Acquisition System ELVIS

Import 22/07/2015Tato práce se zabývá využitím softwaru Matlab pro komunikaci se systémem NI Elvis a vytvořením demonstračních úloh. Jedná se o bazální zapojení, využívané v lékařské technice, a určené pro experimenty a výuku. Platforma NI Elvis je sice primárně určena pro použití s produkty firmy National Instruments, tedy hlavně se softwarem LabView, avšak Matlab disponuje mnohem širšími možnostmi využití, a to nejen v oblastech vědy a techniky, ale také vzdělávání. Realizace byla provedena zapojením obvodů na nepájivém poli zařízení NI Elvis, a následným získáváním dat. Dosaženými výsledky tedy bylo nejen samotné propojení Matlabu se zařízením, ale také umožnění měření pomocí vnitřního multimetru zařízení NI Elvis, a možnost grafického zobrazení libovolného signálu, s určením jeho frekvence.This thesis deals with the use of the Matlab software for communication with the NI Elvis system and creation of several demonstration tasks. These are the basal wiring used in medical technology, and intended for experiments and teaching. Although the NI Elvis platform is primarily designed for use with the products from the National Instruments, a mainly with the LabView software, the Matlab has a much wider range of applications, not only in the fields of science and technology, but also in education. The implementation was carried out by creating circuits on the board of the NI Elvis, followed by data acquisition. So the obtained results were not only the interconnection of the Matlab and the device, but also allowing the measurements using the internal digital multimeter of the NI Elvis device and viewed graphically any signal with the determination its frequency.450 - Katedra kybernetiky a biomedicínského inženýrstvívýborn

Comparing Czech and Slovak Council Newspapers’ Policy and Regulation Development

Council newspapers form an integral part of European media systems and, as such, have been analysed for their im-portant contribution to the development of local politics. However, despite a recognition of the media’s important democratic function in the transition countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) after the fall of socialism, the con-sideration of council newspapers’ political role in the Czech Republic and Slovakia have been largely absent in debates surrounding the development of regulatory frameworks until recently. Interestingly, debates regarding local govern-ment transparency emerged recently (2011) in the United Kingdom, resulting in the Code of recommended practice on local authority publicity, underscoring the importance of this issue. However, developments in the aforementioned sit-uations demonstrate divergent outcomes in such considerations: the British addressed the causes, the Czechs ad-dressed the symptoms, and the Slovaks have yet to make any headway. This article utilizes qualitative analysis of policy and regulation documents to compare the trajectories of media policy and regulation of council publicity in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, ultimately contrasting it with developments in the UK, suggesting possible future trajectories for the development of this type of regulation in the CEE countries

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá základním seznámením s Nikolou Teslou a s jeho vynálezem Teslova transformátoru a jeho využití v elektrochemické praxi. Práce je rozdělená do čtyř částí. V úvodní části je stručně shrnut život elektrotechnika Nikoly Tesly a rozebrána problematika Teslova transformátoru. Druhá část je zaměřena na možné druhy a buzení Teslova transformátoru, výběr nejvhodnější varianty pro návrh základních komponent polovodičově buzeného teslova transformátoru pro VN jiskrový zdroj. Ve třetí části je popsán návrh budícího obvodu a desky plošných spojů. Dále je zde popsána výroba jednotlivých komponent a jejich základní technická dokumentace. Car Audio Amplifier

Náplní této bakalářské práce je návrh čtyřkanálového koncového audiozesilovače o výkonu 4 × 60 W určeného pro použití v automobilech. Koncový zesilovač je řešen zapojením s integrovanými obvody LM3886T a je doplněn návrhem napájecího zdroje v podobě měniče napětí. Měnič napětí je řízen integrovaným obvodem SG3525AN a pracuje v topologii push pull. Všechny obvody byly realizovány a umístěny v přístrojové krabici. Na zhotoveném zařízení bylo provedeno měření základních parametrů.Aim of this bachelor´s thesis is design of a four-channel audio amplifier of the power of 4 × 60 W intended for using in cars. The Amplifier is designed with integrated circuits LM3886T and is supplemented by design of a power supply in a form of a voltage converter. The voltage converter is controlled by an integrated circuit SG3525AN and works in push pull topology. All circuits were made and placed in instrument box. On the final device were performed measurements of basic parameters.

Digitally controlled power supply

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem digitálně řízeného napájecího zdroje. Na úvod je popsán obecný princip napájecích zdrojů a jejich dělení. Dále se práce zabývá návrhem řešení regulovatelného zdroje s nastavitelnou proudovou pojistkou. Řešení zdroje bylo provedeno pomocí lineárních regulátorů L200 řízených digitálními potenciometry. Řídící část obstarává mikrokontrolér ATmega16 od firmy ATMEL. Uživatelské rozhraní je realizováno pomocí maticové klávesnice a LCD displeje. Na závěr práce je řešen výběr konstrukčních komponentů zdroje.This bachelor´s thesis is about design of digitally controlled power supply. The introduction describes the basic principle of power supplies and their division. The thesis deals with solving the adjustable current source with adjustable current cutout. The solution of supply was made using linear stabilizers L200 controlled by digital potentiometers. Control handles microcontroller ATmega16 from Atmel. The user interface is realized by the matrix keyboard and LCD display. At the conclusion of the work there is a selection of the structural components.

Monitoring system for small power plants

V semestrálním projektu je popsán návrh monitorovacího systému pro malé elektrárny. Před generátorem jsou snímány otáčky mechanického pohonu, pomocí nichž mikrokontrolér ATtiny2313 vyhodnotí připojení, nebo odpojení ovladače spojky. Za generátorem jsou snímány hodnoty napětí a proudu, které mikrokontrolér ATmeta8 převede na digitální hodnoty a pošle přes sériovou linku do hlavní jednotky. V hlavní jednotce jsou data zpracována, zobrazena na grafickém LCD a ukládána do externí paměti EEPROM.he paper describes the design of a monitoring system for small power plants. The rotational speed of the mechanical drive of the generator is measured with an ATtiny2313 microcontroller which evaluates the speed and decides whether to connect or disconnect the coupling driver. Behind the generator voltage and current values are measured which the ATmeta8 microcontroller converts into digital data and sends through a serial link to the main unit. The data are processed in the main unit, displayed on a graphic LCD screen and saved in an external EEPROM memory.

FLATcon system – gas detection system with RF communication

Tématem práce je konstrukce bezdrátového detektoru úniku oxidu uhelnatého pro systém inteligentní domácnosti FLATcon. Tato práce se zabývá zejména praktickým návrhem zařízení dle zadání rozšířeným o měření teploty a výstup na spínání kotle, dále koncepcí obousměrné bezdrátové Master – Slave komunikace pro systém FLATcon a návrhem centrální jednotky systému FLATcon pro demonstraci funkčnosti s využitím jednodeskového počítače Raspberry PI. Práce zahrnuje také teoretický úvod do problematiky měření koncentrace plynů a rozebírá konstrukci použitého polovodičového senzoru MQ-7.The theme of this thesis is to design a wireless carbon monoxide leak detector for smart home system FLATcon. This thesis deals mainly with practical design of the device extended with temperature measuring and output to boiler operation, the conception of two-way wireless Master - Slave communication for system FLATcon and design a central unit for FLATcon to demonstrate the functionality using the single board computer Raspberry PI. The thesis also includes a theoretical introduction into the measuring gas concentration and discusses the design of used semiconductor sensor MQ-7.

Corruption manual for beginners: "Corruption techniques" in public procurement with examples from Hungary

This paper develops 30 novel quantitative indicators of grand corruption that operationalize 20 distinct techniques of corruption in the context of public procurement. Each indicator rests on a thorough qualitative understanding of rent extraction from public contracts by corrupt networks as evidenced by academic literature, interviews and media content analysis. Feasibility and usefulness of the proposed indicators are demonstrated using micro-level public procurement data from Hungary in 2009-2012. While the prime value of this broad set of indicators is the possibility of combining them into a robust composite indicator of high-level corruption, the high degree of detail also reveals that many regulatory interventions have succeeded in changing the form of corruption, but not its overall incidence
