Impurity effect on low-temperature polarisation of the charge-density-waves in o-TaS3_3

The temperature dependence of the low-temperature dielectric response is studied in o-TaS$_3$ samples doped by Nb, Se, and Ni and for nominally pure ones. It is found, that the low-temperature dielectric constant depends anomalously on doping and is higher for doped crystals, whereas the temperature dependence of the characteristic time of all samples follows the activation law with nearly the same activation energy $\sim 400$ K (T>20 K). The observed behaviour is inconsistent with all available explanations of the low-temperature dielectric anomaly.Comment: RevTex, 12 pages, epsf, 2 postscript Figures. Mikos Éva disszertációjának mellékleteként elkészült az a kalendárium-katalógus, amely alapul szolgál majd például az Ádám-Éva történetek populáris irodalombeli megjelenésének feltárásához. Nagy Ilona két típusmonográfiának tekinthető tanulmányt írt:a föld keletkezésének mondájáról és a kukorékoló sült kakas motívumról - az Acta Petri, Acta Pilati, Evangelium Nicodemi, az etióp Kakas könyve és kopt fragmentumok felhasználásával - mindkettő 100 ezer karakternél nagyobb terjedelmű). Éva MIKOS collected the cataloge of calendars from 18-19. century as an appendix of her PhD dissertation, which gives a good basis for the research of Adam-Eve stories in the popular literature. Ilona NAGY wrote two studies as type-monographs about the legend of the creation of the Earth and about the motive 'The Roast Cock Crows' - with the investigation of apocryphal sources: Acta Petri, Acta Pilati, Evangelium Nicodemus, the ethiopic Book of the Cook and some Koptic fragments. Ordered low-temperature structure in K4C60 detected by infrared spectroscopy

Infrared spectra of a K4C60 single-phase thin film have been measured between room temperature and 20 K. At low temperatures, the two high-frequency T1u modes appear as triplets, indicating a static D2h crystal-field stabilized Jahn-Teller distortion of the (C60)4- anions. The T1u(4) mode changes into the known doublet above 250 K, a pattern which could have three origins: a dynamic Jahn-Teller effect, static disorder between "staggered" anions, or a phase transition from an orientationally-ordered phase to one where molecular motion is significant.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures submitted to Phys.
