    [Italiano]: ll saggio, amplissimo per estensione multidisciplinare, considera il tempo nella sua tridimensionalità (cronologica, cairotica e aionica e, in Betocchi, dinamica, continuata e statica) come forma e vita dello Spirito, ossia come “Incanto dell’Oltre”, ovvero come passaggio dall’ambiguo Disincanto di un soggetto agglutinante di un Ignoto divorante all’Itinerarium in Deum, alla ricerca di un Fondamento Altro, tra il Tempo della Storia e il desiderio dell’Eterno, sulle tracce di Abramo, e ci offre, nella poesia di Betocchi che si fa preghiera, una riflessione teologica sulla creazione, tra fabula e intreccio narrativo, nella dimensione lineare di un tempo teleologico finalmente ritrovato./[English]: The essay, a wide-ranging one due to its multidisciplinary nature, focuses on time in its triple dimension (chronological, kairotic, aionic and, in Betocchi, dynamic, continuous, and static) as shape and life of the Spirit, namely as “the enchantment of the Beyond”, a passage from the ambiguous disenchantment of an agglutinating subject of a devouring Unknown to the Itinerarium in Deum, searching for an Other Foundation, between the Time of History and the wish for the Eternal, in the steps of Abraham. As such, in Betocchi’s poetry as a prayer, it offers a theological reflection on creation, between fabula and narrative plot, within a linear dimension of a teleological time rediscovered at last

    Questa tesi si pone come obiettivo quello di indagare la messa in scena tematica e formale dell’oggetto all’interno del fenomeno narrativo contemporaneo. Nella fattispecie, ad emergere sarà la rappresentazione dell’oggetto come veicolo di intricate logiche di potere: a seconda dell’accezione materiale declinata – connotata ora secondo i caratteri del principio della cosalità, ora secondo i caratteri del principio dell’oggettualità –, la logica capitalistica e tardocapitalistica vestirà la merce di precise retoriche di apparizione testuale al fine di diffondere al meglio la propria ragione ecumenica. Il riferimento teorico che fa da impalcatura argomentativa del lavoro è la teoria freudiana formulata da Francesco Orlando: lo stampo concettuale della frazione R/r (Repressione contro represso) coniugata nell’ottica della funzionalità permetterà di leggere la storia letteraria dall’inizio della modernità alla Bassa modernità secondo quattro atteggiamenti narrativi aventi a che fare con la relazione – anche linguistica ed espressiva – tra l’umano e l’oggettuale

    HAPTIC FEELING: GENEALOGIE TRA STORIA DELL’ARTE, CRITICA E NEW-MEDIA

    This doctoral project aims to offer a genealogical investigation of haptic perception in art history. Although haptic perception has been the subject of an extraordinarily articulated and interdisciplinary panorama of studies from the last decade of the 19th century to the new millennium, it has yet to receive systematic recognition in art history and historiography.It was intersecting these directions, the four sections that make up the thesis aim to create a cohesive and harmonious treatment. The motility of the hand is the protagonist of the first section entitled Prehistory of the haptic. From iconography to morphogenesis, which, starting from a philological deconstruction of Jeff Koons' Balloon Venus series (2008-2021) and its relationship with the haptic feeling "of positivity", aims to formulate a hypothesis of a reinterpretation of modernist plastic hinged on this prehistoric artefact and on some of its figures, tracing a submerged historiography that could support this critical proposal. he second section of the project, entitled The History of the Haptic - State of the Literature and Critical Reconnaissance initiates an itinerary into the 20th-century development of the notion of the Haptic in the art-historical sphere through a critical re-reading of a panorama of sources, approaches, and orientations. In posing the haptic as a methodological question, the section moves from a critical reconnaissance of Alois Riegl’s role and an examination of the figures elaborated in the historiographic field to analyses the relations between haptics and the historical avant-garde. Following this, the third section of the work, defined as An Alternative History of Haptics, hypothesizes a 'prehistoric' and laboratory genealogy leading back to the 1892 rehabilitation of the term 'haptic/haptics' in the psycho-aesthetic sphere, tracing a network of relations between the scientific side (Wundt, Dessoir, Titchener, Münsterberg, James) and the artistic side (Berenson and Stein). Such an interweaving gives rise to the fourth section of the present work, entitled In the histories of the haptic, and aims to interrogate some selected nodes by which, in the second half of the 20th century, understood as a conceptual figure and interdisciplinary dynamic, a web of case studies has emerged whose analysis can assist the study of haptic feeling in an art-historical perspective and which, from the New York of 1916 up to the 1990s, allows us to highlight how it has grafted itself onto, actively participating in, stylistic issues and the intermediate development of sculpture. Finally, in the third section, entitled “In the sanctuary cave: haptic feeling and new media”, conceived as an appendix, the discussion interrogates the multimodal disposition of the haptic when sculpture takes over complex environmental and intermedial organisms. It again interrogates the paleo-historical framework about the contemporary mediasphere and the modes of evocation of touch widely probed by artists such as Laure Prouvost, Camille Henrot, Julien Prévieux and Marguerite Humeau

    The project aims to reconstruct Émile Meyerson's epistemology. The first chapter examines the French philosophical context in which Meyerson fits in. The second and third chapters are devoted to the original contribution to epistemological studies and philosophy at the beginning of the 20th century that Meyerson makes with Identité et réalité (1908), De l'explication dans les sciences (1921). The final epilogue discusses Meyerson's last two works, Du cheminement de la pensée (1931) and Réel et déterminisme dans la physique quantique (1933)

    In the first part (Chapter I) of he Dissertation we will focus on the important subject of Alterity in Hegel‘s Science of Logic. Alterity is a decisive concept, since its presence enables us on the one hand to demonstrate the structural “opening” of the works as a whole, which is resistant to any pre-constituted teleology; and on the other hand to weave a non-linear relationship between dialectical logic and real philosophy, by showing the role played by first in the problematizing of some issues belonging to the second. The presence and the meaning of Alterity in the Science of Logic will also allow us to analyse at a deeper level one of the central themes in Hegel’s philosophy, Negativity, and its critical value for dialectical logic – since the latter finds its own source in Negativity. Moreover, the study of the relationship with the Critical Theory, developed by the so-called Frankfurt School, also finds its justification in the category of Negativity (Chapter II). This is why we will start with a theoretical reconstruction of the the Frankurt School’s epistemological focal point: the “immanent critique”. In its various forms, this is the name that was given to the Hegelian “determinate negation”, famously described in the introduction to Phenomenology of Spirit. As happens in the Hegelian antecedent, also for the Frankurt School the immanent critique is not meant to set some axiological-justifying criteria external to the object; its aim is rather to measure the correspondence (or the absence of correspondence) of the object to itself – setting the lines of an internal process. There are “variations” of the immanent critique; however, they do nothing but re-propose an ambiguity of Hegel’s determinate negation, which is suspended between the immanent context of a given object and that “claim to truth” according to which Conscience judges the correspondence (or not correspondence) of that object to its concept. Thus, the analysis shows the inadequacy of this paradigm (the determinate Negation/immanent Critique paradigm) for a critical theory and, secondly, it proposes its integration. How? By moving back from the epistemological-normative level to the ontological level. This fundamental change of approach is made available by the deepening of the determined Negation trough the selbstbezügliche Negativität – the speculative configuration of which must be sought in the entire Logic of Hegel. The relation that is so established between negativity, concept and subjectivity allows us to cross the boundaries of the Logic itself, and to introduce the study of a new social category: that of inter-subjectivity (Chapter III). The importance of this category for the critical theory of society has gradually become evident in the history of post-Hegelian thought, as shown in the theoretical proposals of Jürgen Habermas and Axel Honneth. Intersubjectivity was then taken up again, in a multidisciplinary perspective, by various philosophers who have intended to place themselves in the orbit of the Frankfurt School. Starting from a reconstruction of Habermas’s and Honneth’s theories of inter-subjectivity, we will show how it is possible to suggest a critique of intersubjectivity through Hegel’s Logic. The limits of this study do not allow us to follow the social and political implications that the critique of inter-subjectivity brings with it. We will rather remain on the ontological (or better: logical-ontological) level that was highlighted, in the course of the previous Chapters, through the close examination of Alterity and the self-referential Negativity. The critique of intersubjectivity means an Aufhebung of the exteriority of the relationship, together with the deepening of its reflective value: a value through which the relationship itself is constituted as subject

Questa ricognizione storiografica prova a misurarsi con la complessità di temi e problemi incrociati dalla riflessione weberiana ‒ dalle grandi questioni metodologiche alla polemica sulla scienza e sulla politica come professione, dalla sociologia della razionalizzazione fino al politeismo dei valori ‒ e a valutarne il potente impatto sulle filosofie del Novecento. Il volume intende inoltre indagare la fitta trama di fonti e interlocutori del pensiero weberiano fornendo un quadro rappresentativo della sua genesi storico-problematica. / [English]: This volume, dedicated to Edoardo Massimilla on his 60th birthday, aims to contribute to the reconstruction of the reception and "refraction" of Max Weber's work in European philosophical culture. This historiographical study seeks to address the complexity of the issues and problems touched by Weber's reflections-from important methodological questions to polemics on science and politics as a profession, from the sociology of rationalization to the polytheism of values-and to assess their strong influence on twentieth-century philosophies.     Nesse segundo número, a Aoristo – International Journal of Phenomenology, Hermeneutics and Metaphysics, inicia a sua edição com um Dossiê Especial: trata-se do lançamento de textos dos membros integrantes do GT/Fenomenologia da ANPOF. Tais escritos, nesse primeiro momento aqui reunidos, resultam dos trabalhos apresentados por ocasião do V Encontro do GT de Fenomenologia da ANPOF, bem como do II Encontro Nacional de Fenomenologia e da X Jornada de Metafísica e Conhecimento promovidos pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação (Stricto Sensu) em Filosofia da UNIOESTE, Campus Toledo, transcorridos nos dias 06 e 07 de julho de 2017. Tais eventos, uma vez conjugados, atestam, inequivocamente, não só a consolidação desse Grupo de Trabalho que agrega professores e pesquisadores das mais diversas instituições nacionais e internacionais, mas perspectivam um novo momento, em especial, para a pesquisa em fenomenologia na UNIOESTE

    [Italiano]: Questo studio sull'opera filosofica più ambiziosa di Christoph Sigwart (1830-1904) si concentra su un'idea di logica della conoscenza. Un'idea che non si conforma al modello kantiano, perché rinuncia ad attribuire universalità e necessità alle leggi che definiscono a priori le condizioni trascendentali della conoscenza. Un'idea che sviluppa un diverso significato di "trascendentale" e "a priori", privo dell'esigenza di uno statuto epistemico speciale rispetto a quello richiesto dalle altre scienze empiriche. Intrecciata nella stessa contingenza che caratterizza i risultati di queste scienze, una tale logica della conoscenza può approntare critiche adeguate alla mobilità di questi risultati. La scelta di esplorare questa possibilità proprio attraverso un'analisi della Logik (1904) è motivata dalla convinzione che questo lavoro, smarcato dalle pastoie del Novecento, sia in grado di offrire, oggi, un'alternativa alla dismissione del progetto di un'epistemologia in prospettiva trascendentale. Ma quest'opera è anche un accesso dimenticato al vivace laboratorio postkantiano che, nella Germania a cavallo tra XIX e XX secolo, produce un modello di filosofia scientifica che ha influenzato profondamente il successivo dibattito epistemologico. Questo studio si propone, quindi, anche di introdurre il lettore ai principali temi epistemologici affrontati da Sigwart e dalla tradizione kantiana a cui Sigwart appartiene./ [English]: This study of Christoph Sigwart's (1830-1904) most ambitious philosophical work focuses on a model of transcendental logic. A model that does not conform to the Kantian one because it renounces attributing universality and necessity to the laws that establish a priori the transcendental conditions of knowledge. This model entails a different meaning of "transcendental" and "a priori" free of the need for special epistemic status. Woven into the very contingency that marks the results of empirical sciences, the ensuing logic of knowledge can provide an adequate critique of the mobility of these results. The choice to explore this possibility in the form of an analysis of Sigwart's Logik (1904) is motivated by the conviction that this work, freed from the constraints of the 20th-century debate, can offer an alternative to the dismissal of the project of a transcendental epistemology. But the Logik is also an access to the lively German post-Kantian laboratory that, at the turn of the twentieth century, produced a model of scientific philosophy that profoundly influenced the following epistemological debate. Hence, this study also aims to introduce the reader to the main epistemological issues addressed by Sigwart and the Kantian tradition to which Sigwart belongs

Sono parole che José Martí , l’apostolo della patria cubana, il padre di Nuestra América, annotò nel suo quaderno di appunti nel 1881, espressione del suo umanitarismo sociale, di fervidi sentimenti socialisti, volto alle rivendicazioni e alle speranze del popolo dei lavoratori, del popolo numeroso e bisognoso della sua America mestiza. Ci sono parse tali parole un veicolo privilegiato per richiamare, sin dal titolo di questo volume, una delle cifre essenziali della disposizione umana, vitale, esistenziale, oltre che dell’impegno intellettuale, di Rosa Maria Grillo, esempio ammirevole di un’operosità, una laboriosa vitalità, esercitata, proprio come in Martí, come il veicolo di un vitale umanesimo. Questo volume, realizzato grazie all’affettuosa partecipazione di più di settanta studiosi, ha preso le mosse dal desiderio di offrire un omaggio all’infaticabile lavoratrice, stimata docente e studiosa, maestra, collega e amica, in occasione di una significativa ricorrenza, quella del suo pensionamento, importante traguardo simbolico – certo non meta conclusiva – di una carriera feconda realizzata nel campo dell’ispanismo contemporaneo./[english]: «El trabajo me engolosina. Such words seemed to us a privileged vehicle for recalling, from the very title of this volume, one of the essential figures of the human, vital, existential disposition, as well as of the intellectual commitment, of Rosa Maria Grillo, an admirable example of industriousness, a industrious vitality, exercised, just as in Martí, as the vehicle of a vital humanism. This volume, produced thanks to the affectionate participation of more than seventy scholars, was inspired by the desire to offer a tribute to the indefatigable worker, esteemed lecturer and scholar, teacher, colleague and friend, on the occasion of a significant anniversary, that of her retirement, an important symbolic goal – certainly not the conclusive goal – of a fruitful career accomplished in the field of contemporary Hispanism
