    Slovenian Jews: history and the Holocaust. 5

    Zbornik prispevkov, ki tokrat prihaja pred bralce, je večinoma namenjen objavi referatov z vsakoletne prireditve, ki jo pripravlja Center judovske kulturne dediščine Sinagoga Maribor. Znanstveno srečanje z naslovom "Vsako leto eno ime" tradicionalno poteka ob 27. januarju, mednarodnem dnevu spomina na holokavst. Projekt sta v letu 2016 podprla Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve RS in Mestna občina Maribor. Letošnje mednarodno znanstveno srečanje je bilo posvečeno spominu na slovenskega pravičnika Franceta Punčuha, ki se je rodil leta 1902 v Dolenjem Logatcu. Od leta 1923 je živel v Varšavi, kjer je študiral in se kasneje zaposlil na diplomatskem predstavništvu Kraljevine Jugoslavije. Poročen je bil s poljsko Judinjo. Po nacistični zasedbi Poljske leta 1939 je pomagal številnim Judom, predvsem tako, da je prevzel njihovo premoženje, ki bi sicer bilo zaplenjeno. S tem jim je omogočil, da so lahko pobegnili iz varšavskega geta. Hkrati je sodeloval pri skrivanju Judov in pri njihovem oskrbovanju. France Punčuh je bil ubit leta 1944, med varšavsko vstajo. Pokopali so ga v Varšavi, na ženino željo so ga leta 1971 prekopali na pokopališče v Logatcu. Ustanova Yad Vashem mu je 15. avgusta 2004 podelila častni naziv "pravičnik med narodi".Zbirka priloga uglavnom je namenjena za objavljivanje radova sa godišnje manifestacije koju priprema Centar za jevrejsku kulturnu baštinu Mariborske sinagoge. Naučni skup pod nazivom „Svake godine jedno ime“ tradicionalno se održava 27. januara, na Međunarodni dan sećanja na Holokaust. U 2016. godini projekat je podržalo Ministarstvo spoljnih poslova Republike Slovenije i Opština Maribor. Ovogodišnji međunarodni naučni skup bio je posvećen sećanju na slovenačkog pravednika Franceta Punčuha, koji je rođen 1902. godine u Dolenjem Logatcu. Od 1923. godine živeo je u Varšavi, gde je studirao i kasnije se zaposlio u diplomatskom predstavništvu Kraljevine Jugoslavije. Bio je oženjen poljskom Jevrejkom. Posle nacističke okupacije Poljske 1939. godine pomogao je mnogim Jevrejima, uglavnom preuzimanjem njihove imovine koja bi inače bila oduzeta. To im je omogućilo da pobegnu iz varšavskog geta. Istovremeno je učestvovao u skrivanju Jevreja i njihovom zbrinjavanju. France Punchuh je ubijen 1944. godine, tokom Varšavskog ustanka. Sahranjen je u Varšavi, a na zahtev supruge ekshumiran je 1971. godine na groblju u Logatcu. Jad Vašem mu je 15. avgusta 2004. dodelio počasnu titulu „Pravednika među narodima“.The collection of papers this time coming before readers is generally intended as a written record of the papers of the annual event, prepared by the Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor. The scientific meeting under the title “Each Year One Name” traditionally happens on 27 January, i.e. on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The meeting this year was dedicated to the memory of Slovenian Righteous France Punčuh.The collection was prepared as part of the Shoah - we remember 2016 project, which was supported by the Local municipality of Maribor and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia. From 2011-2014, the project - We Remember was also financially supported by the IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance).     Contemporary youth literature is characterised by deviation from the traditional pattern of obedient child and a happy childhood. The topics on which the writers in Slovenia in the seventies and especially in the nineties openly wrote, have become problem or taboo – so denoted by certain groups, especially those of teachers and parents. The article presents the views of Slovenian primary school teachers and teachers of Slovenian towards discussing problem texts in literature classes in basic school. On the basis of empirical non-experimental research, which included 33 teachers of Slovenian and 58 primary school teachers, statistically significant difference in defining the suitability of topics, and in relation to problem texts have been found

    Za sodobno mladinsko književnost je značilno odstopanje od tradicionalnega vzorca ubogljivega otroka in srečnega otroštva. Teme, o katerih so pisatelji v sedemdesetih, predvsem pa v devetdesetih letih odkrito pisali, tudi na Slovenskem, so postale problemske oziroma tabujske - tako so jih označile določene skupine, predvsem učiteljev in staršev. V prispevku predstavljamo stališča slovenskih profesorjev razrednega pouka ter profesorjev slovenščine do obravnave problemskih besedil pri pouku književnosti v osnovni šoli. Na podlagi empirične neeksperimentalne raziskave, v kateri je sodelovalo 33 profesorjev slovenščine ter 58 profesorjev razrednega pouka, je ugotovljeno, da obstajajo med njimi statistično pomembne razlike v določanju primernosti tem ter odnosu do problemskih besedil.Contemporary youth literature is characterised by deviation from the traditional pattern of obedient child and a happy childhood.     Romsko stanovništvo danas u većini europskih zemalja čini jednu od brojnijih i starijih manjinskih zajednica. Njihova povijest na hrvatskim područjima nerijetko je bila obilježena politikom progona i represivne asimilacije. Znanstvena istraživanja povijesti Romā unutar europskih historiografija bila su izrazito skromna, a počela su se kontinuirano razvijati tek od druge polovice 20. stoljeća. U radu je analiziran dio rezultata istraživanja povijesti Romā unutar europskih historiografija u posljednjih dvadesetak godina.Today, the Romani population is one of the largest and oldest minority communities in most European countries. In Croatian territories, their history was often marked by anti-Gypsy policies of persecution and repressive assimilation. Scientific research into the history of the Romani within European historiographies had been very modest and has only begun to develop continuously in the second half of the 20th century. The paper analyses the research results on the history of the Romani within European historiographies in the last twenty years

    Problematika taboriščne umetnosti in Zoran Mušič

    Art that concerns itself with themes of concentration camps, the Holocaust and genocide is extremely varied. Many authors of different generations have been engaged in it in different media. And yet, similar problems and dilemmas appear in the analysis of this art. Often questions about the artistic merit of the works are secondary, being overshadows by questions about the moral justification of the existence of the work of art and its historical accuracy. Reflections on the aesthetics of these works of art turn out to be very delicate. The cycle We Are not the Last by Zoran Mušič (1909–2005), one of the most recognisable Slovene painters, is distinguished at once by aesthetic perfection and the immediate cruel reality of the imagery. Reflecting upon his works within the framework of concentration camp art and survivor‘s testimony can contribute to a better understanding of his works.Tematiko taborišč, holokavsta in genocida v umetnosti lahko najdemo pri umetnikih različnih generacij in v različnih medijih. Pri razmišljanju o tovrstni umetnosti se praviloma pojavijo podobne dileme in problemi. K umetniškim in umetnostnim vprašanjem avtorji praviloma pazljivo pristopajo, ta vprašanja navadno ostanejo v senci dilem in razmišljanj o moralni upravičenosti in zgodovinske točnosti teh umetniških del.Umetnike, ki se ukvarjajo s taboriščno umetnostjo, lahko grobo delimo na tiste, ki so internacijo izkusili na lastni koži, in na tiste, ki je niso. Zoran Mušič (1909-2005) je eden najbolj uveljavljenih slovenskih slikarjev 20. stoletja in je preživel obe svetovni vojni ter internacijo v Dachauu. Ohranjena so njegova dela iz časa internacije, k taboriščni tematiki pa se je v slikarstvu vrnil šele mnogo pozneje, v sedemdesetih in osemdesetih letih 20. stoletja, v ciklusu grafik in platen s skupnim naslovom Nismo poslednji. Ta vrnitev umetnikov k temam taborišča po dolgem premoru ni neznačilna in jo lahko najdemo tudi pri drugih umetnikih, desetletja nastanka ciklusa Nismo poslednji pa tudi širše zaznamuje pojav spominske literature in likovne umetnosti. Mušičeva dela tega ciklusa zaznamujejo tako dovršena estetika in likovne prvine kot neposredna kruta realnost upodobljenega, kar jih naredi še dodatno zanimava tudi v kontekstu širše problematike tega področja. V prispevku poizkusim njegova dela iz ciklusa Nismo poslednji umestiti v širši kontekst taboriščne in pričevanjske umetnosti

Part Two brings the stories about people who were also saving Jews that were not recognised as Righteous yet, but some among them are candidates.Upreti se ideologijam biologizirane »etničnosti« in antisemitizma je bilo v času nacizma še posebej junaško dejanje. Nagovorilo je ljudi, ki jim tovrstne ideologije, zavarovane s politično in religiozno avtoriteto in populističnimi prepričanji, niso mogle ubiti temeljnega humanizma. Ljudje, ženske in moški, ki jih predstavlja prvi del knjige, so bili za svoja pogumna in humana dejanja med drugo svetovno vojno že razpoznani kot pravične in pravični med narodi, kar je častni naslov in priznanje, ki ga podeljuje Jad Vašem, Svetovni center za raziskovanje, poučevanje, dokumentiranje in komemoriranje holokavsta v Jeruzalemu v Izraelu. Drugi del knjige prinaša zgodbe o ljudeh, ki so prav tako reševali preganjane Jude, ki pa naslova pravičnih še nimajo, a so nekateri že kandidatke in kandidati zanj

    Študija osvetljuje historični vidik judovske navzočnosti v prekmurskem (in slovenskem) prostoru od poznega srednjega veka do danes, oblikovanje modernega antisemitizma konec 19. stoletja, predvsem pa dolgoročne posledice deportacij prekmurskih Judov. Avtor razblini nekatere stereotipne predstave o judovski ekskluzivni gospodarski dejavnosti in izriše zanimivo topografijo judovskega družabnega in kulturnega življenja na območju Prekmurja. Bolj kot na samo fizično uničenje judovske skupnosti zaradi deportacij, ropanj in pobojev se osredotoča na posledice uničenja nekdanje gospodarske in družbene elite
