Formation and characterization of a benzoquinolate triplatinum cluster containing a μ3-PPh2 bridging system and two Pt–Pt bonds

4 pages, 1 figure, 1 appendix.The reaction between [Pt(bzq)(μ-PPh2)]2 and cis-[Pt(C6F5)2(thf)2] (1:2 molar ratio) results in the formation of a bent benzoquinolate triplatinum cluster [Pt3(bzq)(μ-PPh2)2(C6F5)3] 1, which has been characterized by X-ray crystallography.
