This bachelor thesis is aiming to gain more insight into the history of Preili, by the research of the social and cultural life of a short historical period in Preili.
The goal of bachelor thesis āSocial and cultural life of town Preiļi, 1928 ā 1940ā is to research the social and cultural life in Preili since 1924, when Preili earned the status of a town, until 1940 ā the year of the Occupation of Latvia.
This research has gained information about the historical preconditions of the social and cultural life upgrowth in Preili, determined the cultural institutions and the nature of its action, and specified the types of cultural events in Preili
