Stable configurations of entangled graphs and weaves with repulsive interactions

Entangled objects such as entangled graphs and weaves are often seen in nature. In the present article, two identical graphs entangled, and weaves with two different color threads are studied. A method to identify stable configurations in the three dimensional space of a given topological entangled structure, a planar graph with crossing information, is proposed by analyzing the steepest descent flow of the energy functional with repulsive interactions. The existence and uniqueness of a solution in the entangled case. In the untangled case, a weave has a unique tangle decomposition with height order, whose components are moving away each other in the order t1/3t^{1/3} as time tt goes to the infinity.Comment: 37 pages, 4 figure

On 818 A. D. Saicho decided to reorganize the Hieizαn一ブεTemple (later known as EnTッαhu-jのto become the only temple of Mαんの碗α Buddhism in Japan training the Bodんisαttvα monks as opposed to the αrんα亡monks in monastic Hiinのノ伽αBuddhism. For this purpose he planned to build a completely new sub-temple for the initiation of the Buddhists precepts (Kαidαn-in)at the Hieizαn一ゾ’i in addition to the existing Kαidαn-in at the Todαi-j’i Temple of Nara. His aim was to diminish the influence of the Nara Monastic Community over his disciples as well as to persuade monks in Hieizαn-」’‘to become Bodhisαttvα monks and thus effectively free his order from influences of Nara. By fulfilling his vision, Saicho established a completely new independent School of Buddhism in Japan that was to become the most powerful and influential school of:Japanese Buddhism for centuries and therefore it can be said he established the new form for Buddhism in Heian-period Japan. On the basis of this School, various influential Japanese Schools of Buddhism emerged in the following periods

Work-life Balance and Japanese Husbands’ Participation in Housework and Child Care before and during Pregnancy

The aging of Japanese society combined with a persistently low total fertility rate may threaten Japan’s future economic growth. In response, the government has introduced a revised Child and Family Care Leave Law that seeks to improve work-life balance, assist mothers return to full-time work after maternity leave, provides generous leave benefits to new mothers and fathers, and promotes fathers increased involvement in housework and child care. Like the government, midwives, nurse-midwives, obstetricians, and pediatricians have an interest in increasing husbands’ participation in family work as evidence suggests it reduces birth anxiety and stress for mothers, and may also affect the desire to have more children. This study investigates changes in Japanese men’s participation in family work before and during their wife’s pregnancy and compares husbands’ participation by age. The participants were 157 husbands (mean age 30.7) whose wives were outpatients at maternity clinics or were in hospital due to high-risk pregnancy. The questionnaire assessed husbands’ participation in family work (18 items). Results show that husbands increase housework and child care by 1.0 and 0.5 items, respectively, after pregnancy began, and increase housework by 0.5 items if wives were hospitalized for high-risk pregnancy. There was no significant difference in husband’s housework participation by wives’ employment status. Younger husbands participated in housework less than older husbands’. Results show that traditional gender roles persist in the home, even among younger men and even during high-risk pregnancies. Further studies of the new policies that encourage men’s participation in family work will be needed to assess their long-term effectiveness.1.Introduction 2.Family-friendly Policies 3.Health Care Professionals and the gendered division of labor 4.Method 5.Results 6.Discussion 7.Conclusio

Virasoro Action on Schur Q-function (Women in Mathematics)

Schur Q-function was introduced by Schur as a symmetric polynomial describing the irreducible index of the projective representation of a symmetric group. A formula for Schur Qfunctions is presented which describes the action of the Virasoro operators. For strict partition, we prove a formula for each LkQλ. and L_kQλ. (k ≥ 1), where Lk is the Virasoro operator. The present paper is a résumé of [1] and [2]

Prevalence, recognition and management of chronic kidney disease in Japan: population-based estimate using a healthcare database with routine health checkup data

[Background] We aimed to update information on the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Japan. We also explored whether CKD was properly recognized and managed. [Methods] We used data from annual health checkups in 2017, compiling records for 5 million persons. These included laboratory results and were linked to healthcare utilization records via personal identifiers. CKD was defined as an estimated glomerular filtration rate 95% sought medical services and 64.6% received laboratory tests within 180 days of the checkup. However, the diagnostic code suggestive of CKD was recorded in only 23.2% of patients and prescriptions for DM and HT were found in 31.2% (1590/5096) and 36.7% (8081/22 019) of comorbid persons, respectively. [Conclusions] The prevalence of CKD in Japan has increased over the past decade. However, recognition of CKD is likely suboptimal and there is room to improve the management of comorbid DM and HT
