The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the preliminary analysis on the knowledge sharing behaviour of the public sectors in terms of individual attitudes, organisational environment, reward system and information and communication technology (ICT) within the system. The paper looks into the perspective of business process management which embedded in a knowledge sharing behaviour. This research-inprogress intends to use both quantitative and qualitative methods (triangulation) because we believe that it will be appropriate to answer the research questions better. In the Phase One, consists of the questionnaire that uses to measure perceptions, beliefs, reactions, and attitudes related to knowledge sharing. The unit of analysis using middle to senior management in the public sector as knowledge is said to be captured more systematically at this level. Phase Two will be carried out after analysis of data from the questionnaire survey is completed. The researcher intends to undertake an in-depth exploration of issues arising from Phase One. Hence a semi-structured interview will be carried out with small group of people. Top management officials will be selected from within the same sample for this exercise. The research design in this study hopefully will answer all the research questions significantly. The preliminary findings will provide a basis for proposing a structured framework for further data collection and analysis

Objective: To establish recommendations based on the evidence of health interventions for musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) in the poultry worker. Methodology: A review of scientific literature of primary studies published in Medline, Science and Scielo databases from 1990 to present. The articles were classified according to the type of study, quality and the level of evidence. Results: Within the recommendations of the available evidence for the comprehensive management of patients in the poultry industry exposed to risks or events associated to MSDs were the following: 1) incorporate a systemic approach for the assistance of such workers, 2) include psychosocial aspects in the identification and explanation of health risks and events, 3) allow breaks, micro-stops and guidelines for physical exercise, 4) to facilitate the rotation and expansion of work stations and, 5) improve working tools - especially the cutting of the knives. Conclusions: The interventions described in the present revision, were targeted to: the improvement of the incidence and prevalence of MSDs, the decrease of temporary and permanent disability of MSDs, the improvement of the industrial production and cost reduction, both financial and human. However, the need to continue the promotion of research and studies should be addressed to have greater elements of judgment to be able to make recommendations on different types of proposed interventions. Despite the foregoing, health interventions for workers at the poultry industry should be focused from an integral provision of health services point of view.Barajas, Maryi LizethAcevedo, Sharom Iren

In dairy industry, whey protein fractionation is an important process that requires an effective method to separate valuable proteins in bovine whey protein. Bovine whey protein can be divided into two components which are major protein and minor proteins. The major protein contains approximately 50% of β-lactoglobulin (β-Lg), 20% of α-lactalbumin (α-Lac), 10% of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and 10% of immunoglobulin (Ig). Cation exchange and anion exchange chromatography is one of advance separation techniques that can fractionate bovine whey protein. All negatively charged proteins in whey were bound simultaneously to an anion exchange column (Q-Sepharose), while all positively charged proteins in whey were bound to a cation exchange column (SP-Sepharose). Whey protein and buffer solution (pH 4 - pH 10) were prepared before run the experiment. The method is based on the use of an ionic column and salt gradient elution buffer (Buffer solution plus 1 M NaCl). The collected fractions were analyzing using SDS-PAGE to determine which fractions that contain protein component. By using UPLC the concentration of protein exists in the fraction had been determined. Protein fractionation at pH 7 gives the best result with highest concentration of protein recover by using Q-Sepharose. While, by using SP-Sepharose show pure β-Lg can be fractionate at pH 5

The purpose of this thesis is to conduct an empirical research study of academicians in Malaysian higher education institutions. The first objective is to examine the relationships between person-organization fit (P-O Fit), psychological need satisfaction (PNS), employee attitudes and employee outcomes in higher education institutions in Malaysia. The second objective is to investigate the mediating effects of PNS on the relationships between P-O Fit and employee attitudes. The third objective revolves around examining the mediating effects of employee attitudes on the relationship between P-O Fit and employee outcomes. The final objective is to investigate the mediating effects of employee attitudes on the relationships between PNS and employee outcomes. The study was conducted based on personally administered questionnaires. Data obtained from 295 academicians and their supervisors through multi-source ratings have been collected, which represents 53% response rate. The PLS-SEM used in this study allowed the analysis of the simultaneous method with mediation relationships. The results of the present study found that there were positive relationships between P-O Fit and PNS and affective OC, PNS and employee attitudes and outcomes, and continuous OC and in-role performance. Moreover, PNS also mediated the relationship between P-O Fit and employee attitudes. The current study concludes that continuous OC represents competitive mediation of the relationship between PNS and OCB. The implications of the study findings and directions for future research are discussed at the end of this study
