    Abstract. This research is based on by the student mathematical conceptual understanding still low. The application of brain based learning approach with hypnoteaching method could be expected to overcome the problems. The purpose of this study is to determine student mathematical conceptual understanding using brain based learning approach with hypnoteaching method is better than student mathematical conceptual understanding using convensional learning. This reseach is an experimental a research which use posttest only control design. By selecting a sample class of VII-B as a class experiment and Class VII-A as a class control. Based on the hypothesis test result is obtained that tcount= 3,56 and ttable = 2,02. The conclution is “student mathematical conceptual understanding using brain based learning approach with hypnoteaching method is better than student mathematical conceptual understanding using convensional learning. Keywords: Brain Based Learning Approach, Hypnoteaching, student mathematical conceptual understanding Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemahaman konsep siswa masih rendah. Penerapan pendekatan brain based learning dengan metode hypnoteaching di duga dapat mengatasi permasalahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep matematika siswa menggunakan penerapan pendekatan brain based learning dengan metode pembelajaran hypnoteaching lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ekperimen dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Posttest Only Kontrol Design. Dengan memilih sampel Kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol. teknik analisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh t hitung = 3,56 dan harga t tabel = 2,02. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemahaman konsep matematika siswa menggunakan penerapan pendekatan brain based learning dengan metode hypnoteaching lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Kata Kunci: Brain Based Learning, Hypnoteaching, Pemahaman Konsep Matematik

    Abstrak: Penerapan Model Tari Bambu (Bamboo Dancing) dengan Media Kartu dalam Peningkatan Hasil Belajar PKn tentang Organisasi siswa kelas V SDN 2 Ngasinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan model pembelajaran model tari bambu dengan media kartu,  meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn tentang organisasi di kelas V SDN 2 Ngasinan tahun ajaran 2016/2017, dan mendeskripsikan  kendala dan  solusinya dalam peningkatan hasil belajar PKn di kelas V SDN 2 Ngasinan tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri atas empat unsur yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 2 Ngasinan yang berjumlah 31 siswa yang terdiri dari 13 laki-laki dan 18 perempuan. Objek penelitian ini adalah peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model tari bambu dengan media kartu dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas V SDN 2 Ngasinan.Kata Kunci: Model Tari Bambu, Media Kartu, Hasil Belajar PKn

    Reveal Cytotoxicity and Antigenotoxicity of Piper nigrum L. Ethanolic Extract and its Combination with Doxorubicin on CHO-K1 Cells

    oai:ojs.ijcc.chemoprev.org:article/166Black pepper (Piper nigrum L.), one of the most popular Indonesian spices has been reported to possess various therapeutic effects. The aim of this study is to evaluate the cytotoxicity and antigenotoxicity of black pepper ethanolic extract (BPE) and its combination with doxorubicin (Dox) on CHO-K1 cells. Based on thin layer chromatographyanalysis, BPE contained piperine.Under MTT assay, BPE showed cytotoxic effect with the IC50 value of 68 μg/mL and performed synergism in combination with Dox. In vitro micronucleus test using Giemsa staining revealed that BPE did not cause morphological changes qualitatively on CHO-K1 cells at concentration of 8.5 μg/mL, whereas using flow cytometry analysis showed that BPE could decrease the number of micronucleus (MN) formation induced by doxorubicin. In addition, BPE reduced the ROS level on the CHO-K1 cells which observed by reactive oxygen species (ROS) intracellular assay. The decrease in ROS level indicated that the antioxidant activity of BPE contribute to the antigenotoxicity. Furthermore, molecular docking performed that piperine interacted with DNA Topoisomerase II with docking score of -80.68. Overall,BPE performed cytotoxic effect in single treatment, increased the cytotoxicity and reduced the genotoxicity of doxorubicin. Thus, BPE has potential to be developed further as co-chemotherapeutic and antigenotoxic agent.Keywords: Cytotoxic, genotoxic, Piper nigrum L., CHO-K1, micronucleu

    Potensi Biji Labu Kuning sebagai Agen Fitoestrogen pada Wanita Post Menstrual

    Osteoporosis and hypercholesterolemia are prevalent condition in menopausal women. The common therapy to prevent the estrogen degrading condition is Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). However, HRT possessed various risks. Curcubita pepo L. seed (pumpkin seed) contains lignan secoisolariciresinol and lariciresinol which exhibit estrogenic effect. The aim of this study is to determine the estrogenic effect of Ethanolic Extract of Pumpkin Seeds (EEPS) through in silico and in vivo study. In silico study were conducted by molecular docking of lignan which is secoisolariciresinol and lariciresinol with Estrogen Receptor (ERα and Erβ). In vivo study conducted by using ovariectomized Sprague dawley female rats as a model of postmenopausal women. Blood lipid profile, bone density, and uterine weight were assayed after thirty days. Molecular docking score of secoisolariciresinol and lariciresinol were similar to estradiol. In vivo study found that EEPS increase bone density and uterine weight percentage while also improve the blood profile. In conclusion, these result showed that EEPS is potential to be developed as an osteoporosis and hypercholesterolemia prevention agent

    A Comparison of Antimetastatic Activity between Nerium indicum and Cinnamomum burmannii on 4T1 Cells

    Metastatic process becomes a major problem in advanced cancer cases. Natural compounds found in several plants in Indonesia have a potency to be developed as chemoterapeutic agent which are targeted to metastatic process. Jure leaves (Nerium indicum) which contain oleandrin and cinnamaldehyde in cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum burmannii) reported to have cytotoxic activity on several cancer cells, but their activities on metastasic process have never been explored. This research aims to reveal and to compare their anti-metastatic effect toward 4T1 breast cancer cells. The cytotoxicity of jure leaves extract (JLE) and cinnamon essential oil (CEO) was obtained by MTT assay. Metastatic process mainly on cell migration was examined by scratch wound healing assay while MMP-9 expression that described the invassion process was observed by gelatin zymography assay. Molecular interaction between their active compounds and MMP-9 receptor was predicted by molecular docking. The result showed that treatment with JLE and CEO inhibited the growth of 4T1 cells with IC50 value of 125 µg/mL and 2.5 µg/mL, respectively. In addition, JLE performed inhibitory effect of cell migration better than CEO. Meanwhile, both JLE and CEO decreased MMP-9 protein expression. Thus, JLE and CEO have potentials to be developed as an anti-metastatic agent and JLE could be more effective.
